I love this song. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with this. I just have to see my baby girl leave for 2 hours on Saturdays so she can go see her daddy. he has supervised visits. I'm not allowed to go with her. but still a great song.

thats the way it used to be for me my mom would take me to see my dad every other weekend then every sunday i go back to my mom but my daddy moved to missouri... :( i only get to see him in the summer... :(

The song was WRITTEN by Skip Ewing~ I'm betting that since he's sadly not considered a HUGE revenue Entertainer; even though he's got one of the best voices ever in country music, that his voice was replaced by Kenny's. Yep, type in who wrote this song and the truth is told.

I've interviewed both men and Kenny owes Skip a thank you as it's been Skip's songs that started his career for the most part~ just sayin'... ha :~)

I noticed that the image is flipped somehow so it sometimes looks as if they're driving British cars where the driver is on the right instead of the left. Look at 0:32 1:09 1:30 2:26 3:02 3:05 3:10 3:17 and 3:52. The original video was messed with to get this one where it's all flipped. I'm not saying that's bad - the video is still good - it's just something I noticed.

This reminds me of my parents except for the still in love thing. I visit my dad every other weekend. I was 3 when they got divorced. I don't remember that time but I remember what it was like after. My dad got remarried and they would say horrible things about my mom when they thought me and my brother weren't listening. He and my mom are friends now and everything is great but I still wish sometimes that he had never left.

@npsdave the reason for the steering wheels being on the other side is the fact that the uploader mirrored the original video. sometimes it prevents youtube from deleting the video due to some copyright rules. And just so you know, not all European countries have the steering wheel on the oppposite side. Here in Spain, for example,the steering wheel is on the same side as in the US.

Entertainer Chesney does a fantastic show, no question, but Skip Ewing really delivers raw emotion on this tune and knowing he's living it out (as so many have) makes it cut right to the heart. Skip's always been a terrific songwriter and clearly deserves a much bigger following. Thanks for posting and taking the time to re-lay the audio against the commercially-released video that featured Reba and Kenny... this is the way it should have been from the beginning!
