That's was a good ending but Ken wasn't ready on this movie but the tv series he was he was way stronger for fighting the hardest fighters and were was Toki on the movie?
@ganikus1 no I don't think so. at the end of the movie the kids were like "Do you think we will ever see ken?" and the boy replied back "yes but when he has Julia. he wont stop searching until hes found her." so I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
I like this movies ending. We all know Yuria is still somewhere in Kasandora. But Kenshiro is addicted to searching. It's a problem many men actually have, they tried so much to impress women they like, that when it finally works out, they're too stupid to see it or even make the next move. Or maybe they fear happiness and mess it up all by themselves. Kenshiro is just too realistic to be real.
I think Kenshiro has deeply influenced and affected us all even if he may be a made up character. He is just a great person in everything he does, has only loved one woman, protects those who can't protect themselves, is the nightmare to those who create nightmares for others. He is who we envision ourselves to be. There are far too many mean people in this deceitful and messed up world, but when we see a character like Kenshiro, we feel like we can look up to him as a source of hope.
this is the kind of stuff i'd love my children to watch....they'd learn how when and what it's worth fighting for along with with importance of feeling and the depth of 'em
KEN has deeply affected me too, since as a kid. And I realized that I've got me emotionally involved that was not its violence, but those feelings and human values, pain, sadness, anger, love, friendship, that disrupt the lives of several characters. Every time I see a few episodes, I feel like a turd man and rekindle old feelings in me and cleanse me who want to re-emerge. This song is the ultimate expression of all these feelings, is the poignant resonance of the full life of a man.
You could see why Kenshiro would be deeply pissed and beat the shit out of people people who ruined his life, and the cruelty of the the world. I haven't heard a song this deep in my life ever since I heard it in high school. Timeless masterpiece. What a fucked up world.
This anime changed my life when I was a kid... And this (the original) ending sequence to the movie version is depressing as Hell (if you know the story) Great song by the Kodomo Band.
In search of a woman a man loves, a man would go anywhere for her, even if it is the harshest desert in the world. No matter what happens, Kenshiro and Yuria will always be one.
@MrRoflster while I agree that most women today in the Western world and women who are influenced by Western women don't possess the character of Yuria, there are still good women out there, they are just like finding a needle in a haystack :)
