Oh and this is my view and being a mummer since 1975 I know what I am talking about. Spectators should be controlled more to stop making problems for the clubs on New Years Day. It is a shame this even happened but knowing 2nd street this was not the only fight it was the only one caught on tape. As for SPV not having a club house on 2st get over it guys they never did so what is the big deal they did not when they were just the Vikings either.
Oh and did I mention it was a fight between two clubs and spectators got involved because they were drunk and trying to show how tuff they are. If you don't belive me watch the tape oh and I like how the barracade was not in place at first then it is again because the people who are not members are trying to run up to the clubs going down 2nd street and trying to dance with them or steal or rip off a piece of prop from the parade.
They go to start the fights and if it was done the way it should be the clubs should be able to go down the street without having some asshole regular joe or jane who has no right to be there get in the way of the clubs. As for the person who taped this you are as stupid as they come you don't want to be on tape but your youtube links you to facebook again she is brite.
As they go down they perform to the mummers muesum and to the clubs because most of the club house's are on 2nd street. When they get to the clubs it is tradition for them to give a gift of alcohol. The fight would not of happened if spectators were not invading the street also and they are always smashed.
First off 2nd street is not done for other people to come and be jackass's so to the people who go to get smashed STAY HOME. 2nd it is not for kids to be their either again STAY HOME. 2nd street is a tradition for all the mummers and the neighbors who live on 2nd street. It is done as a thank you for the neighbors who put up with the drilling and hammering all year long to put on a performance. It is also done to seranade the clubs for all their hard work for the year.

Oh and this is my view and being a mummer since 1975 I know what I am talking about. Spectators should be controlled more to stop making problems for the clubs on New Years Day. It is a shame this even happened but knowing 2nd street this was not the only fight it was the only one caught on tape. As for SPV not having a club house on 2st get over it guys they never did so what is the big deal they did not when they were just the Vikings either.

Oh and did I mention it was a fight between two clubs and spectators got involved because they were drunk and trying to show how tuff they are. If you don't belive me watch the tape oh and I like how the barracade was not in place at first then it is again because the people who are not members are trying to run up to the clubs going down 2nd street and trying to dance with them or steal or rip off a piece of prop from the parade.

They go to start the fights and if it was done the way it should be the clubs should be able to go down the street without having some asshole regular joe or jane who has no right to be there get in the way of the clubs. As they go down they perform to the mummers muesum and to the clubs because most of the club house's are on 2nd street. When they get to the clubs it is tradition for them to give a gift of alcohol. The fight would not of happened if spectators were not invading the street also and they are always smashed.

First off 2nd street is not done for other people to come and be jackass's so to the people who go to get smashed STAY HOME. 2nd it is not for kids to be their either again STAY HOME. 2nd street is a tradition for all the mummers and the neighbors who live on 2nd street. It is done as a thank you for the neighbors who put up with the drilling and hammering all year long to put on a performance. It is also done to seranade the clubs for all their hard work for the year.
