The opening of the game, one bad ass song. One small mistake, is a death for another. This game, is the shit and stays the shit. There is no such a thing as calling this mod a fuckin' failure. (No, seriously, there isn't!) Although we have expierenced the lagging and the spamming; it still stays one fuckin awesome game. My mind is full of fuck now.... :/

Battlefield 2 has more in it, but as an infantry combat game, Insurgency takes the trophy.

The only con is that there isn't a knife in the game. Sometimes you just really want to humiliate your opponent.

Yeah they had one in the early days, but the devs decided to disable it. It's still in the game, if you have sv_cheats on you can get one. Or there were servers out there that were allowing its use again. But it started to make the game a little... Glitchy, I spose you'd say.

Yeah. btw there was knife in the older versions of inusrgency (like in this version what's in the trailer) ..but it wasn't useful when couple or even one gunshot drops you :D ..in battlefield you need about 40 ammos or something like that to kill somebody but in insurgency you need 1-3 ammos

No, not at all. This game is much more amature. Project reality has large 64 player maps. This game can only run up to 32 players with a limited ammount of maps.

How can you take resources from BF2?

Generally every mod and game uses some props from the Source Engine (they are not hl2 specific. Universal resources reused in all their games) but not many. Mostly these mods have genuine models, textures, weapons, code, etc. They just run from the Source Engine (HL2 Engine although the latest engine is called Orange Box which is what these Steamworks mods use)

I didnt mean they took the models and then used them in this mod. I meaned that they took alot of ideas from bf2 and mixed those ideas with the source engine. I dont think that this makes the mod bad, in contrary i think that combining the playstyle of bf2 with the source engine seems very fun. althought this is just a thought it might be wrong (I havnt played insurgency yet)

I see. Well the game is similar in that it does in fact have checkpoints that must be captured along with certain classes which have certain weapons and the customization of what the person wears and what weapon they use. It does not however have drivable vehicles which sets it apart from Battlefield. The insmod team decided to fix fps games to what they should be. You should try it. It is very fun. Loads more realistic. Only need one source game now that it is Steamworks.

The game is entirely custom content. Nothing in it comes from the source engine. Purely custom content. Although you will find stuff that isnt custom in custom maps. Another thing that is great about Source Games is the amount of maps each game has. It is impossible to play every map within a life time. Most of them are junk though but you get some really good ones every now and then. As for Insurgency I like the office map. It is the map from CS:S that has been re-textured and some stuff added.

I do not know why this video is so absolute in its words concerning the insurgency within Iraq. Whose words are these? Which militia? Which group? Which faction? Iraq is too much of a complex situation to be so concrete in words. Although one with knowledge of Iraq's factions can probably tell which faction this mod will be displaying, it gives off for a bad message to those who are ignorant of the situation. That is the only gripe I have about this video, everything else was great. 5 star'd.
