(in the whole history of Bangla Gaan) , where the notes are chromatically moving downwards, I mean, in Calando, yet sounding very Bengali... I'll give him/her whatever money I have. Great one! Really loved it but what I felt at the end it was somewhat short and..and you could have taken some peoples interview who have grown with his songs like us it could have blended some flavours to it. Cheers bro

what a superb documentary..., in the first 5 minutes the way you captured kolkata, i have never seen anybody doing that in any film, poem and even in any song........and suman is the essence of kolkata.

Sorry, I should have responded months earlier to your comments. Thank you very much for the kind words. My effort was always to offer a faithful portrait of Suman's achievement and impact. And, of course, Kolkata is an integral part of that. As long as you think the film has done that, I am happy!

I am no fanatic, but a great admirer of Suman's talent and you can't deny his priceless contribution in Bengali music.

I am perturbed that the personal and the public are being conflated. What artists choose to do in/with their personal lives should have no bearing on their art. If we were to do this with all artists, many accomplished ones would lose their places (take Picasso, for example)! I think it's best to keep such comments outside this bulletin board and stick to the artistic intent of this documentary and its objectives.

Dear Rakhe1999, as you know everything Suman and Sabina. Now please tell us something about yourself. If we go by your argument that Suman does not have moral right to talk about all those big issues, I would also like to know if you too have any moral right to talk about Suman. What is your background? your contribution to Bengali art and culture, Bengali/Bangadesh Hindu community? Otherwise you are not providing an equivalent platform to take your comments seriously.

Somewhere you mentioned about Suman's Tara Bangla programme and his big talk about Nandigram. If I remember that format of the TV progrm correctly, there was a provision that you could call Suman and ask question. Did you ever try this and asked all these questions which you are putting on youtube? Now he is contesting election. The journalist Jarnal Singh has shown the way. If you hate Suman so much, you can also follow Jornal Singh's way if you are courageous enough.

well, for me first you create and then express...and it is known as interpretation and before somebody interpret ....need the creation.....so only expression couldn't be all about music! But i always loved your singing and your words dear Sumanda and i also wanted to tell you i hated the arrangement of one of your album, with all keyboard sound(even the drum).....all the best!
