  • im gonna try to drill this in my next wrestling class

also my wrestling club has a signed poster from Brandon Slay

  • That "plain old duck under" is whack this guys is a joke u have to post under the arm this is probably the most basic of wrestling moves

  • very insightful, thank you, im putting this in my arsenal for my next jujitsu tourney in august

  • Greco roman rocks.

  • this is one cool ass video

  • I knew the technique but this was a very useful review, nice and very well explained, thanks

  • nice! thanks for the upload

  • that school looks pretty sweet......

  • can you do this if the person you are doing it on is bigger than u?

  • can someone explain the T position?

  • Brandon Slay does the best demonstration. He gets the biggest guy in the room and shows how much easier it is to take someone down from the T angle verses head on like 2 rams head on, in his Double Leg TD. If you attack someone straight on, they have good defenses to sprawl and step back, but if you push someone sideways, body isn't as good at taking the impact laterally.

  • Same in striking, you always want to "get the angle" on them, if someone is right handed then you circle to their left, makes it harder for them to attack. If someone leads with their right leg for TD, then circle to their left side and they can't shoot as easily. In greco throws, if you can get to the T (perpendicular) then you've gotten past their initial lines of defense... head, hands, shoulder, etc..

    hope this helps :)

  • @delugestudios That's a great way to sum it up and remember it, thanks.

  • He does a great job of incorporating Greco Roman wrestling techniques into Submission Wrestling. Good use of the hips, where you get all your power. Thanks for posting all this good material, I know of some people who are using his videos to show these techniques to their classes.
