I remember when my friend and I were about 12, and she wanted to use her mom's Flicker. It had several blades, so when you were finished with the first, you'd dial to the second, etc. My friend didn't understand that, and instead thought that 1 was for legs, 2 was for underarms, etc.- so she dialed through all the blades (you couldn't go back and re-use any) and ruined the thing! LOL
The Flicker doesn't work any differently than the Gillette Daisy(females' counterpart of the males' Good News). In the Three's Company premiere episode,Jack Tripper used Chrissy Snow's Flicker and he nicked his face in several areas. Although the Flicker is not a man's razor, one would envision Michael Jackson using it. LMFAO!!!!
Few areas where razors and blades are sold. Today many women use something like the Gillette Venus(females' counterpart of the males' Mach 3). Today you can still find blades for obsolete razors like Trac II,Atra and Sensor. ebay.com can help you.
My Mom used to use these in the 70's, I was like 8 or 9. You see the way you turn the center to advance the blades? Once you advance to the next one, you can never go back, and at the last one it stops turning. See where I'm going with this? Turning that thing all the way to the end was SO MUCH FUN until Mom broke out her thick western riding belt!
still a cute ad. i believe they did a follow-up with another actress in a similar format. instead of "it really works", the actress said "it's fantastic!". anybody have that one?
I remember my mom gave me one of these when I was a young teenager and just learning to shave my legs. That frickin' thing just tore my legs up. I don't know why it's still being made.
Everytime I visit the States, I try to buy a couple of these. They are so retro and cool. AND - I did some research here, a lot of them are sold to black men who use them when they get 'bumps' on their faces. It is very gentle.

Every girlfriend I've ever had always used my Gillette double blade disposable shavers on their legs... said it was the smoothest shave ever.
