Wow they were amazing! They came to Chile and people were extremely rude to them, it was awful... I hope they'll come someday but on their own, not supporting another band :)
@liverpoolfan72 Hey, im pretty sure a second rate Strokes cover band would have about the same ratio wouldn't they? The live sound is a little on the flat side afterall...
I know the TLF album litteraly just came out around Glasto, but the crowd are flat. Reading was incredible. After Glow, Two Steps Twice.. oooof.
Like this video bores me cus I know they've done better performances. Also, I think Foals would suffer on a open stage, the tents are where its at for Indy bands.
Why is everyone complaining about them being bad live? Of course a video with a live recording won't sound as powerful without the sheer volume a gig offers. Especially with a rock band like Foals.
Sound and atmosphere really do not come across here. Extended highlights can be found on the bbc site ~click on 'Music' then find Foals and scroll through the videos.
Tickets still available for the Oct-Nov tour. Must see.
Ok this is weird, When they were playing there was a huge massive mosh pit, but the bass and volume on this sounds like they were playing shit when actually they were fucking awesome! also upload a good song that involved the crowed BBC you fools. Like Cassius, Olympic airways, spanish saharah
@nyboy101 i couldnt agree more! foals were one of the best acts i saw over the weekend but you really don't get a feel for the atmosphere they created within the tent on this video
@benthomasmusic Yeah I remember saying to my friend how this was one of the best gigs I ever been too! It was insane, Yannis climbing the rail thing was legendary lol. Wish I was back at Glasto now :( :(
best band EVER! i cant belive they got out of there ALIVE!

Why are the audience so still? Every single note they played at Reading had the audience jumping like a drugged out trampoline tent.

@dmytro15 Nope. It's from Foals' second album Total Life Forever.

NO IT IS NOT A COVER (but Yannis does sounds a bit like Robert Smith).

This band suffers from sounding flat live.
jonrobson421 1 year ago
I thought that myself but when i saw them last month i was proved wrong. They go crazy in a small space.
Hugs876 1 year ago
@jonrobson421 no they really don't, the video really doesn't capture how good they sounded. they were honestly one of the best bands of the weekend.
strpk3rpl0x 1 year ago 2
@jonrobson421 Totally agree! The chorus comes and it's empty....the backing vocals are so weak....and the guitar noodles just about stay in time....

Before I saw this live, I never realised how short Yannis actually was
Or how tall Jack Bevan is.

Easily the best thing at Glasto this year... the set had everything.
Yannis was lucky to get out of there alive. Someone needs to post Electric Bloom... utter carnage.
