  • okay so I ordered an Ultra 151 and I got the Union Ultrafear 2's too. So the picture of the item told me that I was getting the Ultra with the black base with the green skull with the yellow and pink sidecut which would go well with the bindings. I looked again and it said I'd be getting a Green Base with Green and orange sidecuts..... kinda pissed off now. What's the difference between those boards and why are they different?

  • ok thank you

  • hey I am 5'11, 150 pounds what size should I get. I ride park about 80% and the rest is trees and maybe a tiny bit of powder. I was lookin at the 155 and I was just wondering if that would be the right size? thanks

  • @stix2317 At a 150lbs the 155 will work pretty good for park and in the pow.

  • Hi there! After reading some reviews, I realized this 2012 Ultrafear comes a bit stiffer than before. My main doubt is if this board will be easy for presses, buttering around and jibbs, but maybe hitting some jumps (nothing bigger than 30feet) and cruising. I'm 150 and want the 153. My other option is the Academy propaganda RC 152, seems a bit flexier and more forgiving, but less stable for jumps and faster runs. I'm a begginer, and want to get better in the park. What your advice?

  • @11l11l11 The ultrafear is a little stiffer but it does have some rocker or flat kick in the nose and tail which will help for presses. so despite the stiffer flex rating the the nose and tail are pretty soft which is for presses and butters.

  • i'm choosing between this and rome ads mod rocker so i was wondering how much does this weigh compared to the mod cause i know the mod is pretty light. thanks in advance

  • How does this board compare to the indoor survival fk 2012? They say the indoor is a better all mountain board and more stable, but to Capita's flex scale the indoor is softer (flex 5) than the Ultrafear (flex 6). What can you say about that? What about the Capita Mindblower?. I can't decide between those 3 boards.

  • @11l11l11 Who are they? The Indoor survival is a freestyle board, if I was looking fora good All MT Board I would go with the Totally FK'N AQwesome or Black Snowboard of Death, unless your looking for cambered board such as the Outdoor living. What do you want out of the board? Do you want Flexy Playful board for the park? All Mountain board? Freeride?

  • @thehouseboardshop Yes, I'm looking for a flexy playful board for the park, that can also handle some jumps and powder. I'm basically between the indoor 152 or the 154. I'm 150 pounds and 5'10, so I don't know if the 152 will be stable enough at moderate or high speeds and if the 154 will be playful and easy to press because of my modest 150 pounds, thanks in advance.

  • @thehouseboardshop Oh, I'm 10.5 boot size by the way, will I have problems with the indoor 152 or 154?

  • @11l11l11 With 10.5 boots your going to have a some over hang on both the 152 and 154. your best bet would be to get the Capita Stairmaster Wide Snowboard 152.

  • will the 153 version be wide enough for a size 11 burton boot?

  • @122catmandoo Yes, If your boots have shrinkage tech. They will work with a waist with of 25.35 (153) . Or you could always get the Capita Stairmaster Extreme Wide 152.

  • its not 0 degres cuz if it were it would be a dot in the center of the board, its actually 180 since it creates a line, im sorry i had to point that, but ye nice review mate :)

  • How does the ultrafear hold up at fast speeds on blacks and double blacks?

  • @SlipknotxX720 The ultra fear is a little better for park riding. if your looking for an All Mountain Ripper from capita, I would suggest with the totally Fk'n Awsome or The Black Snowboard of Death.

  • @SlipknotxX720 the ultrafear is dope for park and works in pow and all mountain but it can get a bit sketch riding fast down double blacks if the snow isnt really good, any ice and you'll have a sketchy go, the indoor survival fk is like the ultrafear but a bit more all around, it will be a tad more stable. Sounds like you need the indoor survival fk, also from capita

  • Would this be wide enough for an 11.5 ThirtyTwo Boot?

  • @rugboy13 the 155 will be just wide enough although your still going to have a little over hang,

  • do you have to detune this board or can you just ride it when you get it?

  • @LilAnduz No you do not have to detune this board, but you can.

  • What do you think between this and the green machine.

  • @tilleybrdr90 Both Great board. The Green Machine is is your eco friendly freestyle board, where you Ultrafear is just your extreme freestyle board that a little stiffer. Bother are great boards.

Personally I really like the Totally F'kn awesome and the Black Snowboard of Death.

  • I have a park pickle but i'm looking for something better for jumps and gets more of an edge on spning off take offs. Would this work for me? And if not gimme some boards for park but leaning towards 40+ ft jumps

  • @npalmern For 40+ jump Iwould suggest looking at camber or hybrid camber boards like the "Totally Fk'n Awesome" or "Black Snowboard of Death" or the flat "Mid Life Zero" or the cambered "NAS".

  • @npalmern i was about to get the park pickle and then i got the ultra fear this year and ive tried it once and i reccomend it all the way its a greatboard!

  • smoke more weed guf...no, seriously, smoke more weed

  • i cant decide between the stairmaster and the ultrafear fk, i ride mostly park, lots of rails and jumps, but im not sure if the stairmaster will give me enough pop on jumps. or if the ultrafear will be buttery enough

  • @xxxIAmLegendxxx69 Out of those two boards I would go with the Ultrafear. otherwise I would recommenced check out the Black snowboard of death (flex rating of 6), it has a little positive camber and a little rocker in the tip and tail, to keep it nice and buttery. ( I know that it is directional board but it can do it all)

  • hey what would you say between the ultrafear fk, totally fucking awsome, and the attack banana thanks!

  • @4ztothe2achthorpe0

Yea dude it will dominate. It's an all mountain freestyle and park machine. I hate the term 'all mountain' though and most boards pegged with this title are overly stiff garbage decks priced at about 500-600 dollars for gapers who "do it all". Ride a true twin park deck all over the mountain and devour everything...

  • good jump/jib board?

  • @ishidamoo Great Jump/jib board.

  • I cant decide between this and a horrorscope. I ride pow, heli-board (occasionally), but mostly park and street. When im at mountains I butter/jib everything, and when I'm at my house I build street-style dealios. Which one should I get?

  • @thestrazman The Horrorscope is a much softer board, with a flex of 3 where as the Ultrafear has a flex of 6. so i say get'em both. Horroscope for street and park and the Ultrafear for big Mt. boarding.

  • @thestrazman

either will work fine...I ride the Horrorscope in the Colorado back and side country on blower days and it's awesome but yea if you want stiffer and a better jump board get the Ultrafear.

  • @4ztothe2achthorpe0 Yes, it would make a good Park/ All mountain board. With the FK rocker and and flex rating of 6 you will be get a board that can handle just about anything that you can throw at it. As far as suggestions go.... Ride Hard.

  • will this board do good in powder.

  • @Utahboarder65 it would work pretty good in the pow. Easy to ride in the park with pre-pressed positioning for jibbing and a rockered nose for floating in the powder,

  • great!

  • I live on the east coast and i was just wondering how this handles groomers and har pack and steep groomers.

  • @sanfordalexfun its more of a park board. it will handle better than a normal rocker board when going fast, but not as good as a cambered board, The FK will be playfully and forgiving at slower speeds

  • Hey, I'm 5'11 (6'0 With Boots on) Should i Buy an Ultrafear 151 or a 153.. I mostly do jibs but I do jumps as well but nothing too crazy, please get back to me

  • @GaryyyyyD sizes of boards have nothing to do with how tall you are... its your wheight. in my oppinion if you are going to do mostly jibs i would go 53

  • How would you compare this to a NeverSummer Evo? Same class?

  • @AJR1982 different class all together the evo is a ROCKER & CAMBER: board where the ultra fear is a FK rocker snowboard. The evo is more the the Lib techs magic banana. Without mange traction

  • how much is this board?

  • @bmrn 448.95

  • @thehouseboardshop anywhere (like another store) or just on your site?

  • @bmrn On our site or in our showroome in Little Canada, MN and just about anywhere else you look. Due to dealer agreement everyone's price should be the same. and OMG....Get it now! because I just noticed that our price a little cheaper then everyone else and the price will be changing later to night. Well you don't have to get it tonight its only a $1 diff

  • @thehouseboardshop ok and do you guys deliver to canada?

  • @bmrn Yes, but we can not send many brands to Canada, where you looking a getting a Capita?

  • @thehouseboardshop yep im looking at a 147 capita ultrafear fk 2012

  • Unfortunately not. The word from C3 is that the Atlas Team is a team toy only..."Not For Sale"...but that does not stop you from bribing a team rider - good luck

  • @thehouseboardshop Ahh bummer. Thanks for the update tho.

  • What are the chances you guys will sell the Union Atlas Team Bindings so we can rock them on this board???

  • @r1dePrkCty they sell the atlas... i dont know if the atlas team binding is different though

  • @14unicycle ohhh it is very different. its an exclusive binding for team riders only
