Acer is bunk, problematic, and has horrible costumer service, this company cost me 300+ dollars of money down the drain. Burn in hell Acer. Acer Aspire x3450 two weeks of use. Motherboard fried, No warranty, No possible way to purchase my own compatible motherboard to replace. And, the computer shop I sent it to currently has more than 10 Acer computers with the exact same problem. Do yourself a favor and beat that product with a hammer.

I looked at a few acer laptops,all of them have "15.6" 16:9 HD LED LCD" in their specs description,except for this one.

It only had "15.6" 16:9 HD LCD" on it's specs description.

But with this aspire 5745G it's got a description that says "HD LED True Cinematic view".

does both of the description mean the same thing.

Or is there a difference? if yes,then how is it different?

Can somebody please clarify this for me.

you no need to update intel HM55 chipset driver, because chipset driver usually must be first install before update your graphic card driver.

you must have 4 pieces of 4GB DDR3 RAM, and you must empty all of your 4 RAM slot from laptop first.

I have versions here with an i5-460M but they have a GT420M in them with 2 GB of DDR3 (yes, 2 GB). Even with that amount of memory, they can't outperform a HD5650. If they had a model with a 5650 or 5730, I'd buy it.

the 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium Edition already store inside harddisk, no installation DVD disc provided, when reformat, it still can recover back to original Windows operating system.

Windows system store in another partition of the harddisk, don't reformat all the partition.

I can play outdoor 100 meters away from my house, and my ipad doesnt eaver recerve a signal when i step out. Bluetooth works normally, and i dont know more :P

@ChoiChoiPower It doesn't get too hot even when rendering 20 mbps bitrate h264 videos or playing Crysis for that matter.

HDD in my version is flawless, but you can not add additional RAM to some 5745G versions.

@markchern I have the i5 430 version (2 cores, 4 threads processor) and you can play it with medium settings... He should get a i7 720QM, because the game needs at least 4 cores to run smoothly with this many AI in the simulated City.

@z0nt21 Depends on what you call gaming. I don't know why you reply that, but an i5 and a 5650 is enough to play anything at good settings. The only games that give you any sort of trouble above medium settings would be Crysis, GTA4 and a few others like DiRT2. Now the actual laptop itself may not be designed or constructed for gaming, but it's technical specifications would suffice for a good gaming experience. Replace that 330 with something a bit more powerful and voila.

@touhid23 Its a15'6 inch screen with 1366 x 768 and HD ready. There is no problems with this laptop so far...This is not a long-battery-life-time laptop (lasts for 2 hrs). I would recomend this laptop if you play lots of computer games (as i do!) and if you want a laptop that fits in your schoolbag...

Intel Turbo Boost technology will automatically increase speed up to about 3.0 GHz to run one of the software, will not used full of 4 processor core power.

multi core processor is good for multitasking work in computer.

U can check every single game and it would be nice if u check out arma 2 :O cause thats the best game in the world xD just google canyourunit.. @MusicSonders there is nothing such as 6.4 ghz processor(unless its liquid nitrogen overclocked), Quad core means that the processor has 4 cores, each cores has 2 threads (intel hyperthreded), 1.6ghz is the min clock speed for each single core, ppl dont add all the clock speed up.Since i7-720 QM support turboboost, the clock speed will go up from 1.6ghz onwards (boost), to cope with the demand, especially when running games.

@MusicSonders I have this laptop. And YES this laptop can run it. Because its a cuad core processor...it will be rated at 3.6 GHz instead of 1.6 GHz. The computer results in canurunit showed me that this laptop will run it without problems..

@z0nt21 yes, I used it to convert 10 minutes of AVCHD file ( 1440x1080 ) to AVI video file ( 53GB file size after convert ) in Sony Vegas 9.0 ( 8GB DDR3 ) very well.

I think it should be less than 2 hours, just like other laptop with graphic card, AC power plug-in performer better, so I always used AC power.

very good machine, it have 4 DDR3 RAM slot ( slot 1, 2, 3, 4 ), slot 1 & slot 3 already used for 4GB DDR3 RAM ( 2GB x 2 ).

you still can install extra 2GB x 2 DDR3 RAM to make it totally powerful 8GB DDR3 RAM ( PC3-8500 1066MHz ) run in dual channel for your machine.

I already done it myself, will post the DIY video on youtube soon.
