I'm not a fan of Khan but I'm not ignorant enough to believe that Murray could beat him. I think even the casual fan would only have to compare their styles for 5 minutes and realise that Amir would blow Murray away. Khan vs Kevin Mitchell would be better, lets hope it can be done if both win their next fights.

Murray's very disrespectful of Khan, possibly due to Frank Warren business wranglings. Any fight negotiations would b through Warren & he must have decided against the Murray fight without consulting Khan first but Murray's just blaming it all on Khan ! It's a shame bcos Murray is a decent fighter but he's well out of order here, he kinda needs a spanking. Only if Khan loses to Barrera could a Murray fight happen I think. thaxton will be to slow for Khan but then again, he might just land a bingo punch and khan will be lights out. Thaxton aint the best of fighters but hes a good person. I respect what he said in the recent Steve Bunce show, he said sometimes its not who you fight, but who you don't fight. Khan has avoided a lot of these routes and especially after what happend with Prescott Frank Warren is trying to fast track him.

I know Amir khan is not a champion yet but he reminds me of Jack Johnson (first black champion) when all the racists were eagerly waiting for his downfall and yet he proved them all wrong and still managed to get the big fights in. i'm sure there will be many more asian champions, actors and 'slumdog millionaires' in England within the next 50 years just like there are loads of black champions in usa now.
