We used 2X20V cordless drill batties, 2X7V RC-airplane motors for propulsion and 2XDelta FFB1212EHE computer cooling fans in series for lift.
The hovercraft is controlled using two optical computer mouses for measuring speed and distance, 5 infrared sensors for finding beacons, one ultrasound transducer mounted on a servo to avoid obsticles and two PIC18 micro processors (one to decide where to go and one to steer).
To me it looks like it has two 12V cordless drill battery packs 2:05 to power one of two 12V PC fans you can see on the top,
The fan most central, looks like it is blowing into the hard plastic body, I can't see a flexible skirt so it's a pretty simple "LIFT" But this would only run on a perfectly flat floor.
cut a hole in the lid of a shoe box and aim a hair dryer at it, watch it lift and float, its the same idea. hope this helps.
