@pktillidie On the stock, pay attention to the distance he has to move the shifter to shift gears, then look at the short throw one. Isnt it much shorter on the stock throw one? Like, inches shorter? Yes. It'll take a few views to notice it, but the actual distance between gears on the shifter is lower to switch on the short throw than it is the stock one. Thats the difference. It helps to shift gears faster since the distance is shorter.
from a performance and drive-ability point of view, the shortshifter is worse in this case.
one of the reasons being that the throw from natural to 2/4/6/R is a lot smaller then from 1/3/5 to natural. I've had experience with such a setup. Be warned. Might 'feel' better, but it's only coz of the wow factor.

@Northgtabeast i got it for free and there really hard to find with a manual transmission. but its ok i got a vw passat v6 5 speed now lol
