Overated and overblown movement- COBRA - It (Europe) was trying to compete with NYC Expressionist Painters and in the end left nothing behind it that can be considered to be valueable discoveries for Painters per se- Yet the movement has given painted images for Skandinavian Art Museums and the tourist industry thoroughout the 20th century and no doubt into the next.

I've never seen photos of Asger Jorn. I was happy to see these. When I first saw his paintings in a museum, as a young woman, I fell in love with them. He was such a superb talent. I think it is wonderful how one can adopt an artist, keeping him or her in one's mind forever as someone to admire, as a beautiful memory, totally unbeknown to the artist. I hold Jorn and his work in a special place in my heart as a hero of abandon in painting. I am one of many.
