  • u.s gov still play games with america, and boeing still being caught overchanging tax payer. is boeing playing chicken with the gov hoping out cry will force gov to by american? boeing knowing there number are milking defense dollars? why can't we have both and american built plane at a good price is that to much to ask for? kill the drama. but whatever don't pick airbus

  • Lou Dobbs is ugly... lol... So if Airbus has a superior product the army shouldn't buy it because they should buy "American"? To me it sounds like Airbus has a superior product that fits the needs of the Army better & if Boeing wanted that contract they have to compete (you know as in Capitalism) or they will lose in the marketplace. It just shows how much of a Dumb Ass Lou Racist Dobbs is...

  • This is humiliating. Boeing has flat out embarrassed itself. Instead of actually building something, it has been caught using every dirty trick in the book to score a sweetheart deal from the Air Force just because it's an American company. Meanwhile, Airbus was busy developing, testing, and producing a tanker ready for market. Buying the European tanker will SEND A MESSAGE TO U.S. DEFENSE CONTRACTORS TO STOP MILKING PROJECTS FOR ALL THEY'RE WORTH.

  • Such a cretin. In the past, almost every country in Europe has bought tons of US-made planes, tanks, rifles, ships, basically anything the US was offering. That meant jobs in the US and profits for US-based companies.

But when the roles were about to be reversed in this one instance, the protectionist lobby in the US blocks it. Bunch of hypocrites, these American "representatives".

  • No offense but America is selfish

  • @dmfreak Your so full of shit and America liberated the Phillipines and we did every thing to rebuild the Phillipines. All the American blood and soldiers who died liberating the Phillipines is not selfish and cheap. Whenever the Phillipines needed help America has been there for the Phillipines. Your so full of shit!

  • this is such a biased news piece!

  • this is not a big problem man. the planes in europe are there want it buy it don't want ? then go away . Symple!

  • The problem w/ this report is that they only showed about 5 seconds of the Air Force actually defending themselves. Around 3:00 "This crazy rhetoric...what General Electis is what an American company? " THIS IS TERRIBLE REPORTING. HOWEVER, I also disagree w/ the Air Force's decision. Why would we outsource that work to a primarily European firm when we can easily have Boeing do it just as well and keep American jobs/money/tech.

  • All European countries buy American military planes, so whats the big deal??

  • @hyenahond1 Eurofighter? dick head, red arrows? dickhead you are dumb dick head

  • @JustAnOrdinarySimmer i hope one day an illegal immigrant rape your mother

  • @hyenahond1 i hope 1 day your mom gets gang raped by terrorist then hung and burnt!, then blow her ashes up so there is nothing left, fake funeral for a fake body!

  • @JustAnOrdinarySimmer Its not Eurofighter its called the Eurofagger!

  • airbus thumbs down

  • WOW BOEING KIKS FUKEN @SS THEY GAVE U THE B-29 WITHOUT THAT WE WOULDNT HAV BEATEN THE JAPS WTF AIR FORCE I THOUGHT U WERE THE BEST BUT NO CAUSE U SUK omg Boeing roks thumbs up for boeing rules and boeing sells mor ok Boeing is better Airforce if u see this change to Boeing thumbs up for Boeing ill make another sying thumb down for Airbus

  • Airbus is not owned by European Gov.

tehy held stocks in it. I mean American Gov also helding Stocks. I f i would hear such news, i will research and getting all facts befor prejudge. What i learned is Companies are not patriotic. Even Airbus got American stockholders. Welcome to globalisatzion

  • @ozeangruen only thing america has over airbus is landing gear

  • Boing does not really producing parts itself

Even Boing uses German and European suppliers for parts. Its assembeld in America thats correct. For example JenaOptic a German Company is supplier of Boing 75 German partners and suppliers producing in Germany parts and system solutions for Boing Telair International from Miesbach in Bavaria is developing and producing the Freightsystem for the Dreamliner

  • @ozeangruen as said in the video, european Tail, Fuselage, wings...!

  • boeing planes crash more often

  • Umm, no. What are you 3? Boeing makes better aircraft then airbus and that is a fact. Boeing planes last a lot longer than airbus and that is a fact as well. GTFO

  • " Boeing planes last a lot longer than airbus and that is a fact as well "

thats if they dont fall out of the sky. LOL

you realize in the air force taker refuelling compititian Air bus has not just won once, but twice.

the first time they just chose Airbus, but Airbus said it was unfair and they said they(Boeing) chould have a share in it, so they offers to share the contract. Boeing wanted it all to them selves, and Airbus agreed to this competition, and Boeing lost agian.

    look it up

  • they fall out of the sky because of airline neglegence and pilot error

    (airline neglegence=improper repairs)

  • what about the 3 Boeing planes that exploded in mid air

cant blame that one on airline neglegence and pilot error

  • what are their airlines and flight numbers? TWA 800? still airline neglegence, because prank TWA mechanics cannot replace TWA 800's wires with brand new wires, so high voltage current jumped into the fuel tank that has been filled in jet fuel vapour and.... BOOOOOOOOOM!!!

  • ok. but this video is really about out sourcing of jobs and number of jobs and were it would be built

  • you are unfamiliar with MANY things :)

boeing is even selling less than airbus :D:D:D

you, fuckfaces, just cant admit it :D:D:D:D:D

  • @ izne

Sorry but we have a airbus fan boy here. She probably has nothing to do with airbus but just thinks she does.

  • There are more Boeing planes in the sky...... They've also been flying around a lot longer than scarebus, which opens the window for 3rd world countries to do maintenance their way and defy Boeing standards.

  • the bottom line is - you are an idiot :)

bottom line is all americans are idiots... seems so :D

  • It's not an issue to complain about, instead of whining, Americans should be thankful since Airbus is providing alot ofjobs in the US.

  • so true zed!

  • americans? thankful? come on :)

  • Why did no-one complain when America decided to buy the Harrier jumpjet, rather than develop their own VTL plane? Was it because developing such a plane would have cost far too much money and the final result was unlikely to be superior? Or, was it because Hawker Siddeley were completely British (as opposed to Airbus which is only partly British) and was in no way French? Suck it up guys. Your military has a responsibility to select the best tools for the job. That's exactly what it's done.

  • @CZlaowai BS, our government is selling us out in every way, and has been since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Why do you think we are in such debt? How will we get out of debt, when we pay outsiders to manufacture aircraft that we can't even pay for anyway?

  • @CZlaowai

They did develop the Harrier further to customize it to their needs

  • @CZlaowai Hahaha Every single Air force uses American planes!

  • @dreampilot2 Did you know that Russia has airforce, and they dont use american planes?

  • @Pvjinflight Yeah and Russia does not use Airbus military planes!

  • @LottoWinner999 They do not use Boeing planes either.

By the way lottofag did you know that A330 has totally outsold 767? Ha Ha

  • @Pvjinflight Hey stupid the 767 is phased out and new models are being remodeled for USAF Tanker. The Boeing 777 is known as the A340 killer and A330 killer. Ha, Ha get with the times, your behind in your ass!

  • @LottoWinner999 No 767 was not phased out but A330 outsold it in passenger side.

777 has not killed A330, they are not same size you nooblet

  • @dreampilot2 No shit: France, Germany, China, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ceh Republic, Ukrain, Vietnam, North-Korea and the list can go one.

  • @CZlaowai I love it when Boeing kicked Airbus in the balls and we Americans wrote out Congressmen and Senators and said no to Airbus. The Gas Guzzling A330 is a piece of shit with two wings. We don't want your Euro-Crap planes because Boeing build the best planes period!

  • Wow! Why is this so surprising? The American military always has the best possible equipment available to them. Usually, such equipment is manufactured by American companies but sometimes the best is made overseas, so they buy it. It's that simple! Oh, by the way - Airbus isn't French.

  • ok...Airbus isn't French? Why is it subsidized by the French government?

  • In terms of ownership it's part French, part German, part British, part Spanish. The governments of these coutries provide loans for the development of new technologies that must be repaid with a fixed interest rate. Whether this qualifies as a "subsidy" or whether it's even ethical is irrelavent as the US government does exacty the same thing with Boeing. That's why this has never been taken to the the WTO. The US government cannot accuse Euopean governments of something they're also guilty of.

  • I'm glad to see 40 billion American dollars going to the French to build a plane we could easily build right here. The french deserve it, they've worked hard all of their life.

  • he-he, it turns out you CANT "easily build right there"... thats why 40 billions are going to europe... where they make better planes easily ;)

  • actually it CAN be easily built right here if congress and the air force would get their heads out of their asses, the u.s. tax payer isnt here to fund europe's social welfare economy, the u.s. has it's own welfare economy

  • The planes were going to be built in Mobile, Alabama

ALL PARTS WOULD HAVE BEEN BUILT AT BROOKLY FIELD IN MOBILE ALABAMA

    so why are they lying

  • Right on I live near Mobile, but they did not want this going to a conservative congressional district.

  • Actually, with the recent Airbus scandal , it looks as if the military will have no choice but to give the contract to Boeing.

  • Yuk, yuk, that so funny.. You can build anything all day long when funded by what, 6-7 governments? Boeing huffs it alone.. Fuck the government.

And how about those fucking chairbus turd planes that look like shit and cost and cost significantly less. Airbus: here's the keys, pay us when you can!

  • Bier you are dead right, it is about national pride and prestige and not about the jobs. If it was the case, most items wouldnt read MADE IN CHINA...

  • Well Boeing won the appeal. So I guess we will see what happens when they rebid now. Should be interesting.

  • hahaha the best way to piss americans off is to deny them 40billion dollars and give it to the french hahaha

  • they dont care about the 50.000 jobs or the 40billion dollars, it is all about prestige and national pride! americans are sore losers!

  • beginning of the end for usa aircraft industry, europe is taking over!!!

  • ok what did that fuckin senator say? 30 years of building tankers? look people, the design from boeing hasnt even been built yet! at least eads has built more than one, which is enough for me. fuck the KC-767. boeing should just merge into airbus instead of waisting thier time competing with them.

  • Lou Dobbs is a demagogue who is viscerally opposed to trade and foreign companies on every issue. If airforce contracts are to be competitive, then they can't simply be handed to Boeing every time just b/c their corporate hq is is in America. Besides, N-G will assemble the tankers in the USA and create 1,500 American jobs!

  • The way the American news agencies are screaming about this you would think they are just GIVING away all that money. NO...you are PAYING for aircraft & Europe will give you the planes you asked for. Its called business. Don't be hypocrites, Europe buys lots of equipment from the US. Bye-Bye Tax Payer money...? If you wanna buy a fleet of air tankers its gonna cost tax payer money if its built in Europe or the US.

  • Boeing planes are built all over the world not just in the U.S.A. Northrop Grumman won the contract based upon superiority of product! Northrop Grumman won on 4 out of 5 criteria as determined by the Air Force. If the Air Force were to reverse this CONTRACT with Northrop Grumman, it will send a horrible message to the world about the way that America does business. We already have a bad standing in the world, according to politicians, breaching contracts will not help our standing in the world.

  • where is american democracy and FREE MARKET about you are talking about around the world.are you becoming russia?

    cheeper wons

  • If boing was award with this contract, 85% of the plane parts would have been outsourced anyway, mainly to Japan. Better company won and this is the american way.

  • It's funny to see an American saying that their air force is run by idiots.

    LOL

  • the better company, the better price, the better service, the better tanker won, and this is the way the airforce sees this. America this is free trade in action, please dont deprive your military of the best technology available, support the troops...

    hahaha lol

  • Congressman Dicks from Washington State (boeing) wanking tanker as the best America can do.

A flying gas can is the most significant thing we as a counrty can do!

No - Norm it's the best wank you can crank for votes to keep your job.

  • I usually don't agree with everything Dobbs has to say but he's right here. This should have been a no-brainer. The French, german, and Spanish governments would never think of awarding such a huge contract to an overseas supplier.

The report is correct, its indefensible on any front. It would have made sense in every aspect to give the project to Boeing. Bye bye taxpayer money. They're laughing at us in Europe right now. I doubt they'll change their opinon about us though.

  • thalake84. "would never think of awarding such a huge contract to an overseas supplier"

What about various European nations buying US fighters over the last half century?

You should look at how much work the US would get if each tanker won:-

    KC767 = 80% US content

KC30 (KC 45) = 60% US content plus production of A330 freighter (currently 72 orders).

The KC30 gives the USAF a more capable aircraft and provides more US jobs than the KC767. I can't see what the problem is.

  • Check-mat(os)2007, at 26 you're an former designer for Airbus.I wonder at what Airbus plant? Quote:"serious safety issues" Could you explain?

    I guess you're a LIAR, SERIOUSLY.

  • i am not a pilot and i have no ideas how planes *work*! but what i dont understand is why american politicians (who also have no idea how planes *work*) debate about that topic. the us airforce know what they are doing and why they gave eads the contract. why cant we (i am in europe) and you (in the us) dont accept that??? tell me please...(and sorry for my english)

  • Hi reston... I guess its all about job that was lost. If ever the contract was given to Boeing It will boost our economy (Im in US)w/c is really down right now. It will create more jobs for people in the state of Wa. and in return will generate taxes for the government. The more people that have jobs, means more money for people, more money for people means more buying, and more buying means good commerce and a nice economy.

  • Yes, your airforce must be run be idiots.

A lot of omissions here. Perhaps he's biased? LOL

  • Defense outsourcing is a threat to our national security. America must have a strong industrial capacity and manufacture our own weaponry. It's time to demand that our leaders put America first and protect U.S. jobs.

  • where is american democracy and FREE MARKET about you are talking about around the world.are you becoming russia?

    cheeper wons

  • Many of us in America have no desire to force democracy or free markets on the rest of the world. Our system isn't working so well. We have a growing gap between rich and poor. The average American isn't benefiting from these policies. Please don't blame us for our leaders.

  • In response to cmatos2007's comment, you are wrong. Airbus is way safer than Boeing, i should know because i'm a pilot. Infact they are so safe that other pilots get bored. I'm not saying Boeing isn't as good because there is not such thik as a good and a bad plane. Ite good and better depending on a personal opinion. However although i love Airbus i do thik that the U.S. Gov should not have given them the contract simply out of loyalty to US ppl. However, the better plane won...

  • I respect your opinion echatz, but as a former designer for airbus. I can tell you that I sat through many of meetings and was told to keep my mouth shut after raising questions about SERIOUS safety issues there. And yes, now I have moved to the other company. Thats why I say its a industry standard. Safety was a joke at airbus. Every designer knows it. So you cant tell me the better plane won. You maybe bored on those planes, but that doesnt mean you KNOW its safe.

  • cmatos2007. Serious safety issues? What kind of issues? Which plant were you at?

  • tjp353 I worked at the Filton plant in the UK. However, I won't say what issues because technically, its illegal for me to give out company information, even if I no longer work there. I'm not saying Airbus won't deliver a good product this time, I'm just speaking from what I have seen.

  • cmatos2007. Fair enough although, without anything else to go on, I can only take your comments at face value. I'm not calling you a liar but you must realize it's easy for anyone on Youtube to make vague claims whether they're an engineer or not.

From your previous posts, it looks like you're saying Airbus take shortcuts to achieve a high rate of production and is therefore less safe than Boeing. Firstly, the accident rates don't seem to show any difference in safety. Continued....

  • cmatos2007. Also, if Airbus builds planes such a lot faster (and therefore less safe) than Boeing, like you say, how come they acheived such similar delivery figures in 2007 (A 453, B 441) with very similar workforce numbers (Airbus - 57,000, Boeing Commercial Airplanes - 54,149). They don't look any faster to me. Your theory of build speed/safety doesn't add up.

  • cmatos2007. What did you work on at Filton and how long were you there for? You're legally allowed to tell us that much.

  • Poor Lou... Is he whining because Boeing lost a contract?? He should have seen the Air Force's report about the reasons why the didn't chose Boeing. Maybe Boeing should just provide the right plane!! That is just competition... Sorry Patriot!

  • Yanks...learn to build fucking planes and please don't whine.

  • Yeah, to the guy who called the American a dickhead. We have heard of airbus. Its the company that cranks out planes extremely fast. So fast, that they forget to make them safe. Thats what airbus is known for in our industry. Boeing is known for taking longer, but producing a better product. So unless, Airbus changes its ways, this is who they are.

  • Airbus aircraft just as safe as Boeing aircraft. Most US airlines fly large Airbus fleets including United & Northwest. There hasn't been an aircraft crash involving a poorly constructed Airbus (or Boeing) plane in a long time.

The reason Boeing lost was because their tanker hasn't even been designed yet. Airbus' tanker will soon start service with the British and Australians. The air force wanted a design that finalized and flying so they chose Airbus.

  • YEP...Idiotic...

    US LOSERS.

  • This video is so funny. Fuckin Americans. Who cares where the planes are built, as long as they're good quality. Anyway Americans don't know what quality is, believe me I know - I regularly drive american cars at work.

  • You probably have to work in America because your own country is populated with low IQ uncivilized assholes that couldn't build a plane if their lives depended on it.

  • What? I live and work in Austria, my company has a few American cars. Anyway statistically Europeans have a higher IQ than Americans. "We couldn't build a plane..."??? Ever heard of Airbus - Dickhead

  • What? I live and work in Austria, my company has a few American cars. Anyway statistically Europeans have a higher IQ than Americans. "We couldn't build a plane..."??? Ever heard of Airbus - Dickhead

  • Airbus is a huge money loser. It is subsidized by European countries. We don't need our defense contracts outsourced to Eurabia. Go pray to Mecca.

  • You're a fuckin' idiot. Mecca aint in Europe and I don't pray to anything. I'm not a crazy yank who believes in some stupid god. I don't care how airbus get their money they still make good planes. I like the way you prove you're a typical dumb american. ;-)

  • Getting pretty upset about an American issue. Americans don't care where Austrians get their planes built, so why don't you mind Austria's buisness and keep out of America's affairs. And Muslims pray facing Mecca, not at Mecca. You'll find out soon enough.

  • I aint upset, I just think you're an idiot. It sounds like you don't know what to say so you're telling me to mind my own business. - Weak shit. What do I care what austrians think, I only live here. You did get me though - I havn't got a clue about religion: Because I'm not crazy. Allahu Akbar

  • Does the moron at 02:22 know that, while he complains about Airbus government subsidies, the Dreamliner is benefitting from 150 million Euro of taxpayers money, which payed for the construction and equipping of Dreamliner production facilities in Italy? I think not.

    Don't believe me?

Watch 'Europeans - Building Boeings in the best conditions' on Youtube and see for yourself.

  • Alenia is a private company that works for both Airbus and Boeing.

Most of their work refers to the 787 and Eurofighter programs.

EU subsidies are common in depressed regions.

    Said that...BOEING=LOSERS.

  • My point is that, while Boeing moans about Airbus government subsidies, the Dreamliner has benefitted from EU and Italian taxpayer's money too.

  • NEVER COMPARE !

  • The Air Force told Boeing not to bid a larger aircraft than the 767, then they say they picked the 330 b/c it was bigger than the 767?!? Boeing should have given them the 777

  • Perhaps the USAF saw the 767 as too small, the 777 as too big and the A330 as, to use Boeing's phrase, 'the right sized tanker'.

  • YEP...Idiotic...

    LOSERS.

  • The US airforce said they (of course) choose the better plane. Boeing are bad losers , they arrogantly thougt they were the best or that anyway the airforce would choose the american plane. But they are not the best anymore and they should know. The A 330 is bigger, take more fuel farther away so they cost more but The Airforce did the maths. The main point in this issue is that the american pride took what we say in french "un coup "(a kick in the ... whatever).

  • You know it's very funny for me that came from overseas to see America whining about their nation being robbed by the European.American companies robbed most of the resources from overseas and those countries don't whine like them.

  • Very true. They obviously don't like their own tactics!

  • @Ouroboros018 ya because if you do America will "repremand" them (kick there asses)

  • I live in Everett,WA where boeing builds them. I'm sick and tired of hearing Boeing and their workers whine like a bunch of bitches. Boeing only likes competition when they are on the winning side. The workers are always on strike when their checks are not big enough or their christmas bonus is not big enough. Competition drives the marketplace..Boeing. Get over it!!! Congrats Airbus and Northrup/Grumman.

  • It dosent matter how you put it, but this was really suprising and really good timing considering how great Americans economy is currently.

  • Airbus does better work than Boeing.

  • So...if Airbus receives US Tax Payers Dollars that´s considered a subsidy, but if Boeing is the other competitor...then Boeing is supposed to receive that subsidy?...

Then...Isn´t Boeing the Loser Company that has been receiving subsidies during more than 50 years from the US??? Once they´d LOST the first SUBSIDY they start CRYING like WHORES.

    Shut your Mouths American LOSERS.

  • No need to have a competition with foreign compagnies if the winner has to be the american. You're a bunch of nationalistic loosers and cheaters.Keep your 50 years old technology tankers (and your 50 years technology cars to, they're a joke) With no competitors, in a few years even Russia will be better than you.

  • the A330-200 consumes 24 percent more fuel per trip than the 767-200ER.

  • I suggest you look up the dimensions of the A330-200 and compare them to the 767-200. If Airbus told the AF that their plane consumes less gas, they're lying because it's a much bigger plane, it's going to drink that much more gas.

  • Air Force says that Airbus' plane is better than Boeing - which part about "better" Lou doesn't understand.

Plus, two Boeing people were sent to jail few years ago from trying to strike a backroom deal with AF. Advice to Boeing - make better planes, instead of cheating and scheming.

Dobbs should bury his patriotism and get some perspective.

  • Isn´t this Boeing Losers Co. the same that builds the 787 DELAY LINER out of the US Country??? I mean 80% of that plane is being build in Japan (Fuki Heavi Ind, and Kawasaki) amd Itali (Alenia Aeronautica-The same wich builds Eurofighter parts)

    Yep...God Save Americans JOBS...LOL.

  • America is being purposefully taken out. Get your gold and silver and get ready for some tough times. Stock up on food and water filters...

  • I don't want to ruin the mood here, but you are doomed! Lmao

  • These companies talk about patriotism and hurting national defense by giving it to an European company, but buying planes that are not as good is the REAL damage to national security if we buy them from N/G! Think about that, republican cry-babies!

Giving the contract to N/G would be nothing more than corporate WELFARE just to keep a few jobs. There are plenty of industries in the US that are hurting but they get no special treatment.

  • Economic treason from the Pentagon.

  • The US will have to fight another major war sooner or later. When we do, it would be advantageous to not be dependent on protected shipping lanes, the security of our (current) allies and their willingness and ability to supply us with parts. If the US is truly unable to produce a superior aircraft, we should be investing in our production capacity, not further weakening our manufacturing base. (Though honestly I'm more worried about our dependence upon all MADE IN CHINA, than this one tanker.)

  • Stand up for Boeing, and stand up for America. Express your feelings on this situation to our government:

Log on or call the White House directly at (202) 456-1111

  • Actually, Boeing is the larger company. Boeing had more orders of aircraft than Airbus for both 2007 and 2006. Airbus is just an amateur. They've only been around for around 20 years whereas Boeing was founded in the early 1950's.

But not to worry, Boeing has market share and the biggest chunk of military and defense contracts around the world. The tanker deal is going to be built in the USA, Northrup Grumman. EADS/Airbus only has a small part in the deal. Built with GE engines from the USA.

  • Boeing was founded in 1916 not the 50's. The tanker is not going to be built in the US, it will be modified in the US by Northrop. The A330 will be assembled in Tolouse and will be flown as a green airplane (meaning no interiors and other systems not essential for flight) to Mobile for tanker modification. The A330 is designed in England/France/Germany/Spain. Even the fuel boom is designed in Spain. So no US part on the design of the tanker. EADS just paid NG for its name to make it American.

  • The joke is...US Army is just tired of Boeing...they need some SERIOUS partner if they want to defend successfully the whole Country.

I can imagine the face of those Boeing Retard Executives after hearing the US Army Official saying the contract of the KC45´s was given to AIRBUS...LOL.

    What a bunch of LOSERS...

  • In 2002, the Air Force negotiated a $23bn deal with Boeing for 100 tankers to be based on the Boeing 767.

But that deal was declared invalid after allegations of fraud.

Two Boeing executives went to jail and eventually Boeing's chief executive resigned.

Political pressure on the Air Force over the deal was led by Sen John McCain, the front-runner to win the Republican nomination for the presidential elections this year.

  • POOR AMERICAN LOSERS...

ACCEPT YOUR DEFEAT INSTEAD OF CRYING AS WHORES...

Somebody conveniently forgot the fraud deal from 2003 when two Boeing executives were jailed because they tried to cheat offering an Air Force employee a job on Boeing for getting the Contract Done???

American Retards Shut the FCKING MOUTH!

  • Remember who Boeing really is:

You know a plane called 787 Delay Liner???

80% of the parts of that plane is being built in EUROPE AND JAPAN...

ASK BOEING ABOUT YOUR JOBS...NOT AIR FORCE FOR LOOKING BETTER TECHNOLOGY OUT OF the US.

  • You are so wrong! BTW, you do know that Airbus had substantial delays, right? You also know that their government subsidized the hell out of them, right?

  • Two people out of a company of 200,000. Sure, that makes a good reason to deny Boeing the deal. One of those people worked for the Government, not for Boeing.

  • You sound stupid! The only reason Airbus won the contract is because the Air Force knows that GE engines are more reliable than Pratt engines! If the 767 had been offered with the GE CF6 engine like all other 767 tankers, then they would have got the contract. But I can guarantee you that this is not over yet!

  • Airbus gets government subsidies to be competitive against the USA, the only kind of subsidy that American aerospace companies get are DEFENSE contracts, and now we're giving these huge military contracts to the already-subsidized Airbus, our direct competitors? Fuck that! Let the Europeans buy American products for a change, let them buy our cheap dollars! We're buying European products are this horrendously expensive Euro? This is total bullshit, yet another proof of government incompetence!

  • Payola. He who greases the palms with the most money wins.

  • how dare the airforce give any one but it's own the jobs.this is sick. you bastards would be the first to complain if we the american people didn't have your back.this is so sad. i need a job,and most people i know is living below our standards because you sick asses think only of your own pockets. kick [those commies out who have made such a ignorant decision] out of this country. they don't belong here.hell just take all the liberals with you.maybe then we can do something!

  • Uhm typical, obviously you don't know what Communism is about! A communist (not myself btw) would want everyone to get a fair share of the money!

  • this is an outrage...lets stop worryng about kissing every ones ass outside america and start kissing our own asses! if i was an imagrant i would be able to get a free ride.hell i can't even get a dr. appt without paying and we give it all to the imagrants that have no intention in staying in this country

  • Bravo.

  • Woah, first off arsenium yeah we know about that plane. Those workers worked day and night to make sure it was safe enough to fly. If you would rather have a quick product then a safe product, well thats your deal. Now, yeah SOME of 787's parts are made in other countries. Its NOT 80%. And thats the other outrage, the fact that airbus is NOT better technology is what people are mad about! Airbus is great for quick products. Not great products. Everyone in industry knows that!

  • Nothing military should be made in another country PERIOD! Doesn't matter some of it is still made in the US. All of it needs to be. Add to it the recent BS about China give us faulty products and that just add fuell to the fire. Yes, we are saving money by sending some of this work over seas. But at what cost? It's continueing the weekening of our economy and it's relying on another country to keep us safe. What next? Out source our soldiers too?

  • lick my american boots you sick pig!

  • Well before people like Bubel1986 and all you other Anti-Americans start your sh%t, maybe you think about the fact that not only does Boeing make planes, but they also design the technology that defends this country against missile attacks. And remember that satellite we had to take out? Guess which company designed the system to safely destroy it.

  • YEP, YOUR SO RIGHT

  • this show tends to look like a tabloid. it doesn't talk about some important details and just tries to shock and to turn indifferent people into a mob.

  • no details? can you not read between the lines? Wow...no wonder this country is going to shit...people need things fed to them.

  • The details i was talking about are related to the competition. It doesn't matter for them that maybe the other product is better.

Also the simple fact that the workforce that boeing supports is partly located in Japan and Italy (which is btw in EU) is completly ignorred.

Btw welcome to the free world, free job movement and the abillity to have a choice.

  • PS:They should blame boeing instead. not the pentagon. Perhaps you know that in business you don't have friends but you have trust. boeing lost some of that trust a few years ago with the scandal related to the same air tanker. They lost some more trust this year with the not functioning, delayed and full of glitches border fence. And yes the army is a business since they started to hire mercenaries.

  • Thanks for posting this. If you're on Facebook, please join the group, "Overturn the Decision to Outsource Our National Defense"

BTW: Did anyone else notice Lou Dobbs almost dropping the F-Bomb at 3:29?

  • That BITCH is dumb Boeing uses GE most of the time for its engines, a matter of fact all Boeing Aircraft starting with the 707 use GE and Northrop Grumman for the Engines.

  • What? That's a dumb statement. The problem isn't using GE, the problem is that the AF Sec. said...well we are using an American company...2000 People. Big whoop! Boeing has 40,000 or more. Not sure where you were going with that statement???

  • Using a France company does nothing to fix the problem it only escalates them and makes them worse. The World Trade Center 1 and 2 ninety nine percent of all the steel, aluminum, mineral etc... was given to China at a huge lost to the American Tax payer.

  • The Prim Minister of France is Halliburton new best friend I meant Bush new best friend. Bush does not give a rates ass about the American people, Bush one draw up NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) Bill Clinton Signed the fucking thing, and Bush 2 refuses to listen to the common folk when they tell him there out of work because NAFTA does not work for North America, when Clinton started and Bush2 finished lifting restrictions with China.
