  • Amazing! Just amazing!

  • @Bradd10003

you're obviously not a Lindy hopper. i'm guessing you're a ballroom dancer to make a comment like that. That's fine, but you're missing a lot of background info. The point is *not* to be polished. Loose/relaxed movement is what it's about ..."white" as we may be, this is historically African American dancing, not European dancing. The aesthetic is quite different, so not having been exposed to this, it's understandable that you wouldn't get it at the same gut level we do. Peace

  • Love this choreography!

  • this one almost brings tears to my eyes...

  • @Bradd10003

Skye and Frida are both incredibly talented dancers and performers. You have no idea what you are talking about. What is with all the criticism and negativity? I don't see the point in posting so many mean comments on their videos.

On another note, are you drunk or just challenged? That comment was painful to read. Grow up and learn how to spell.

  • @Bradd10003

This routine is technical perfection in the world of swing. His feet are controlled (even the flairs he puts in them as in 1:21) he's using the floor and you shouldn't spot in lindy. In fact that is one of the challenges many follows have if they come from a latin or ballroom dancing background. His balance is fantastic, as one of the things that makes lindy so awesome is that you stretch with the other person -- it's part of the connection. LOVE IT!

  • @StheJ

Hence, why they received first place at ULHC :)

  • @Bradd10003

No. You fail. That's not what east coast swing is about. The idea is to be as relaxed and unpolished as possible. It's Savoy.

Now if you want polished, you should go west coast dancing sometime. It's hard and your 100% more likely to cause an arm injury.

And don't you ever dare say Skye and Frida aren't performance standard... they're part of the silver shadows. That's like saying James Brown isn't groovy.

  • @BenjaminPaulWoodham As a point of interest, this is not east coast swing. It's Lindy Hop.

  • @superglump well it's got east coast, charleston, lindy, and a little bit of balboa too. I just tend to group all those under east coast swing, which probably isn't right but it's how I learned to categorize it. lol.

  • Great dancing Great routine but the lead could have put a bit of effort into his appearance scruffy look, But I loved the dancing

  • this routine has one killer thing over most competition routines...

It actually looks like fun. Rather than just hard/technical .

so smooth and yet lively enough to look like they didn't reherse it to death ...

    lovely

  • muy lindos!!! felicitaciones!!

  • This routine gives me goosebumps everytime!

  • That guy is really cute!

  • He's my sisters boyfriend. Heheh :)

  • smooth as. They don't need any fancy flipping to be fantastic. My favourite lindy hop performance.

  • When I find my jaw and eyeballs rolling around the floor I'll comment. WOW!

  • I love it!! could you say me what is this music ?

  • 24 robbers by Fats Waller

  • I loooveee it

  • skye is such a babe.

  • Except hes way cuter than clay aiken!

  • ou yeah.. i was dancing with him!

    he's awsome!!

  • this might be my fave of 07... which is saying alot. but they just have more fun than anyone

  • i changed my mind, this is my fave ever.

  • Who are you responding to bro? Stop being so anonymous out of what seems like a very clear fear of confrontation.

Never thought I'd see flaming on a Lindy Hop video for Youtube.

  • lol fear of confrontation, no dude. its an inside joke for the mexican, and it more than worked

  • God; so badass.

I am extremely envious of the way Skye can so incredibly interpret the music with his dancing. Not just with the aesthetics of the routine, but even his little nuances of movement. Just phenomenal.

  • I wanna know what kind of shoes he's wearing

  • @gitboxjammer He's probably wearing Aris Allen, raw leather sole, white cap toe model. Very, very very very popular shoe among advanced lindy hoppers :)

  • what song is this? Best routine ever!

  • I believe it's Twenty Four Robbers by Fats Waller.

  • I believe it's Twenty four robbers by Fats Waller.

  • One of the smoothest performances I've seen.

  • such a great tight routine...so jealous!!

  • That is so beautiful! What could be smoother than Skye and Frida?

  • I watch this when I feel depressed. It makes me happy. So much joy!

  • I agree! I love this video. Happy feet and hearts to boot!

  • This is very nice! Especially those between 02:22 and 02:28.

  • I posted this video in place of the old one, as it is steadier and better quality.
