nice!! this was great. good fish! but a word of advice, do not hold the rod like you did when pulling the bass in. holding a rod that close to the tip can cause the rod tip to break off when a fish that size is pulling it down. good bass though!

That is a nice smallmouth, and they are my personal favorite game fish. Nice Catch. Topwater baits are so thrilling, they always make my heart miss a beat when a big old bronzeback strikes at the top. Good job releasing a beauty like that!

You need to leave more line out when you are getting ready to grab the fish. when you try to grab the fish, the tip of your rod was bending. you will break the tip of your rod if you continue to grab fish like that. Trust me, it will happen
