I agree! If we whant SGA back we need to fight for it. But i think it whould better if we got 1 fully signed petition by the thousands who whant the show to air again. Then it needs to be send to the heads of MGM and SyFy, so they atleast reconsider their mutual decision of canceling the show.

Nice memory. Will miss SG-A. Tried SG-U but found it dark and humourless with poor interaction between the charactors. Too many anti-heroes and no real solid person to build the show around. SG-U is trying too hard and going overboard like an action movie made down south.

The reason they gave the green light for movies is b/c they can save money that way and still continue to make money while also allow a new show ( SGU) to make new ratings. by the way sgu totally blows..i've watched it and it's not worth it!

New enemies, allies with the wraith against them, having an ancient on Atlantis has a primary character, the discovery of a extinct advanced society and combine the their technology with the ancients in the expedition. They can even solve the problems in Pegasus galaxy and move on to another one. Like i said, there are a whole lot of possibilities and they are dumb not to explore them

the reason that SGA was canceled because of financing problems is bullshit. if money was the problem, they wouldn't give the green light for SGU. i mean when does it make sense? you cancel a show for lack of money but you start a new one? the only explanations would be that SGU will have a much lower budget (which i doubt), or they didn't want to do SGA and SGU at the same time (much as they did with SG1 and SGA for 2 years). but if that was the case they should have just delayed filming of SGU.

I can careless for Stargate Universe and the Franchise. I fell in love with both SG-1 and Atlantis due to the characters and actors. The producers were too much in a hurry to film SGU as it would be 'their own', so they're not complaining. Stargate Atlantis has so much potential to carry on, easily surpassing SG1. I don't want an SGA movie, I want my tv series, make the movies 'after' SGA is truly done - And it is far from being over! MGM/SciFi - you're freakin' idiots for cancelling the show.

hi i totally agree to stop a programme in the height of its ratings is a silly thing to do and to think us fans will go to SGU?? i think not ! i have seen the SGU trailer and i think they have taken the wrong route to add another chevron and go in another direction as to SG1 and SGA is stupid it now seems like a voyager come lost in space drama i will not watch it as it does sound a rip off! i want SGA back so many untold stories and some left incomplete ill join the fight! if youll have me

I now i saw the trailer of it too and it looks totally crappy! The quality of the trailer sucked too. LOoked like another one of those sh*ty sci fi low budget films to me. But i am getting excited about the SGA movie coming out in July..almost there! But i'm still completely pissed at how they treated SGA!

I´ve read that SGU was made for younger watchers (I can see no logic behind that, but well...that´s MGM...).
They want to add more space battles and so on. Sounds like battle star gallactica (don´t like that either) and other cheap sci-fi series...
I really hope that there will be lots of SGA movies!
(and perhapy...when they see that SGU sucks...MGM will consider about continuing SGA)

yea...and I'm 23 and it doesn't appeal to me at all! I never liked BSG either and the fact that they used the excuse that "we want to get a younger viewing audience" insults my intelligence! Just b/c of my age doesn't mean they have to dumb it down and throw in younger actors with stupid little love triangle gossip drama! I've been watching SG 1 since i was 10 and SGA since i was 18 and it just makes me angry that they are ruining the whole stargate for me!

As if younger watchers could afford buying the dvds. They would rather go the easy way and download it somewhere. I don´t think that they have much money, too. So this fact and MGM´s pretext to solve their little (nonexistant) financial problem with SGU is really ridiculous.
Does someone know if those petitions are reaching MGM?
That would be interesting to know.

I won´t support SGU (heard from that here for the first time) and didn´t know what that is...well...after some research...and I hate it. They should have keep SGA going. It has won the people´s choice awards and that´s really something.
To end SGA in order to start that bullshit SGU...that´s just plain nonsense.

the reason that SGA was canceled because of financing problems is bullshit. if money was the problem, they wouldn't give the green light for SGU. i mean when does it make sense? you cancel a show for lack of money but you start a new one? the only explanations would be that SGU will have a much lower budget (which i doubt), or they didn't want to do SGA and SGU at the same time (much as they did with SG1 and SGA for 2 years). but if that was the case they should have just delayed filming of SGU.

I don't get it. I love this show. This is the only show (along with Battlestar Galactica) that i watch on the box. I am sick of these networks shelving good Sci Fi shows for the cheaper crap. These networks deserve to loose their entire audience.
And we don't want Universe. We are happy with Atlantis. We like the characters, setting and the story arcs. FOOLS!

I can careless for Stargate Universe and the Franchise. I fell in love with both SG-1 and Atlantis due to the characters and actors. The producers were too much in a hurry to film SGU as it would be 'their own', so they're not complaining. Stargate Atlantis has so much potential to carry on, easily surpassing SG1. I don't want an SGA movie, I want my tv series, make the movies 'after' SGA is truly done - And it is far from being over! MGM/SciFi - you're freakin' idiots for cancelling the show.

Sorry, I didn't realize that my friend was still logged in and I posted under her. I really hope that will happen; it just feels weird and wrong having the series end so soon. My friend never really got into SG1, but I got her addicted to SGA and she feels the same way as most of us do - SGA needs to continue. Please, another network, Pick up Stargate Atlantis!!!

I agree that SGA shouldn't stop but it was planned after season 5 long ago it should be cancelled now that they'll focus on StarGate Universe instead but i think Atlantis still will be seen in Universe (no promises) :'(

What is wrong with the sci-fi network? They don't give Firefly any chance to fly at all really, they cancel Farscape when it had SO much more life to live and then poor Ben Browder was out of a job again when they cut SG1 (well we have the straight to DVD movies but that's less screen time with our beloved characters) and now SGA! What sci-fi are we actually being left with??? No fair!
