  • dont know what it is but between 2.55 an 3.00 something crawls under your shopvac :)

  • @Marcelmx3 lizard

  • how can I add leather onto it and make wooden ribs on the outside?

  • @sonicfreak04 Umm, nails? Honestly, I don't know exactly how you would do it. I don't work with leather. And for ribs, I guess that depends on what the ribs do and what they look like.

  • @TheWoodWhisperer the type of steamer trunk is a antique european style trunk with wooden bands

  • @sonicfreak04 for leather you can get decorative brass rivets specifically designed for leather

  • Thank-you very much, very good show

  • Where are the Show note with the link to the plan ????

  • @screamingbull added the link to the show description.

  • hey you're a pretty cool dude marc....i can watch you and not get bored!!! and you're pretty young...(looking, at least). most true woodworkers tend to be umm..you know!

  • @elimelech12 haha thanks. Well, I plan on getting old eventually so all in due time. :)

  • I really love your videos always instructional! Huge fan here.

Geez, I could live in that workshop!

    Offtopic now:

Can anybody spot the roach in marc's workshop at 02:57?

  • haha, that's actually just a little lizard.

  • perhaps it is chasing the roach? :D

    j/k

  • Too long to explain here. I did write up a blog post about it. I can't post a link here so head over to my site, click Search in the top navbar, and search for "incra". The first article that comes up is the one that explains everything.

  • Quick question, and I apologize if you've answered this elsewhere, but I notice you aren't using the Incra Tablesaw Fence I saw in a previous episode. Did you not like it, or was it a demo piece you had to give back?

  • I love the idea behind this project and the little staps you took to mak it your own. I an a little dissapionted that you aren't doing the arched top. I suppose it's to late the change you mind. I have always wanted to see that done is all. I appriciate how you show your flub ups. David Marks always just seemed to have flawless projects and Norm F-ing up, forget it. Thanks for your care and detail.

  • Well the truth is, everybody makes mistakes. But if you do a 20 minute show for television, you can't exactly spend a lot of time showing how to fix screw ups. As for the arched top, that was cut out very deliberately to simplify the design for Duane. The original Rockler plan tells you exactly how to do it. You literally make a standard frame and panel and bend it into a curve. Not exactly elegant, lol.

  • thank's for showing the fine details and safety points in your video's

  • Great Video.

  • Hey Marc, I've noticed that you've been using Gorilla's White Glue in quite a few episodes lately. How does it, in your opinion, stack up against glues such as Titebond 2?

  • You know, when it comes to PVA and aliphatic resin glues, I have a hard time telling the difference between brands. So the Gorilla stuff performed exactly the same as TBII in my hands. And I am sure the long term holding strength is comparable as well.

  • haha, wait till you guys see the next video. I really rushed this project so there is quite a bit to learn from. :)

  • Yep, I agree. Every Doh! you make is an opportunity to keep us from making the same one.

Especially when it comes to table saws.

  • Great video and advice, as usual.
