or compared to the Penn State riot in the 90's when they flipped a bus and other cars. This one we only tore down a few light poles and signs, though the crowds were thick a mile long down beaver ave.

Actually you should be careful before you use the word "fact". I was there. I saw the cop stab the football. He was not hit with it 3 times. That doesn't even make sense. If a cop was hit with a football he wouldn't give it back to whoever threw it just to be hit again. Second, the police sprayed us with mace, when we were doing nothing but chanting! That is not property damage. Yes, some kids behaved badly, ("roll it over guy") but hundreds of innocent kids got sprayed by cops with attitudes!!!

Do you honestly think in this day and age of video recording the police would risk their jobs over some drunk stupid kids? everyone who was sprayed was told to leave. If they didn't they got sprayed. With ALL due respect, and I mean that. I'm not being a smart ass. You really don't have all your facts straight. I was there too. The cop was hit 3 times with the ball, one rock, 4bottles and a beer can. All trying to protect property.

I acknowledge that there were kids behaving badly, I am just saying that there were cops behaving badly as well, some of the other riot videos show a cop spraying a kid on the sidewalk in the face (& another cop running over to stop him.) The other thing is that groups like my sister and I were told to "turn around and move" but behind us was another cop saying the same thing! (we were on the sidewalk) We were in trouble either way we went! That is when I got mad. There was no way to obey...

I totally agree. It was a bad situation and I'm sure their were ppl there with good intentions such as yourself. Good Ppl got caught up with the bad ppl. Idiots made it bad for everybody. I can without a doubt tell you that after things started getting damaged was when the police started moving everybody. Comands were given to groups 3 times then if they did not move they got sprayed. We can both agree that the idiots were damaging things showing off. Remove the crowd, no one to show off to.

I know it to be a FACT that the only reason the officer stabbed the football is because it was used to hit him in the back of the head at least three times. The police took no action untill property started getting damaged. Even in the video you can heat a drunk college kid yelling "Roll it over"! Meaning a van trying to get through the mob. Every one needs to get their facts straight. "Simple party"? I wish it was your car that had the windshield smashed.

I know. It was simply a party before the Police showed up with mace! Now some of the cops were decent but there was one who actually took a football and stabbed it! If that isn't trying to stir up a crowd (who was just celebrating the game victory) I don't know what is.
