@feminineandfeisty And that is why we are given the spirit of discernment. If one of the two is truly walking in the spirit the "saved" one will be able to discern the worldliness of the other. Then comes our power of "choice." If a saved person willingly enters a relationship with a sinful person knowing what our Lord says about being "unevenly yoked" then we will follow this mate into hell. My whole point is....was it worth it?
runwayslave- I wasn't saved when we got married. I got saved a few years afterwards. You are right about the "saved" men and women who cheat, full of lust, drama etc. that God must not be first in their lives. But you see thats the whole point, if God is first in you life unless you choose a mate whom God is ALSO first in their lives. Then the same issues that come from being unequally yoked will be preety much the same as when you marry someone who is saved and not living like it.
There are Christian men and women who have more lust and issues than unsaved men and women alot of times. My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and although he's not saved, he doesn't give me some of the drama that some of these "saved" husbands give their wives.
@feminineandfeisty As with anything in life there are exceptions to the rule. This is not a comparison of virtues. It is merely stating that when God is FIRST in your marriage you at least have a head start at making it work. Those "Christian" husbands you speak of out there causing "drama" obviously do not have God FIRST in their lives. The devil is confusion. As for your 20 years of bliss with an unsaved man that is indeed an "exception" not the rule. God bless you.

Hello! good thing i am not yoked with anyone, I think this is a calling from Him, because I cannot think of a married life, I have no plans even though I'm 29, I can't think of it even a bit. I am waiting for that time, and also, I must receive immediately what the Lord has given me, what is in store for me in the future. I just love being single, but I will also tell you that I have been delivered from having sex with myself during the past. Thank You Lord, I am waiting for that time to come!!
