  • They are all extremely talented people and nee to be commended for the work they ve done in the past andpresent. i dont think anyone has the right to judge another human being for tring to make others happy with their musical talents and or careeers. Given the time that these very influentioal poeple it goes beyound just sitting here for the first time and thinking well, maybe ill be a star.

  • Jack And Jimmy looked like they were teaching The Edge how to play a slide solo

  • @Iron7Ice haha, yea they did

  • love jack whites second little solo bit at 2:36 gold!

  • Comment removed

  • if u haven't seen the movie, you can hear who played what part anyway ;p

  • anyone have tabs of this song?

  • I think what everyone needs to realize is why they are so great. They all add tricks to get unique sounds out of the guitar which make them all equally great. This is why jimmy page selected them because they are the best of their age. The only thing missing from this group is Jimi Hendrix a great inventor of new sounds from the guitar.

  • @Mannyblah Why don't you suck my balls?

  • @Mannyblah jimmy page did't select them. And the edge being good is a matter of opinion but he is certainly not the best of his age.

  • Love Blind Willie Johnson version, Bob Dylan and James Micheal Thompson ... that's a hell of a classic...!!

  • Get real. Fuck that it's a cover. Zep made the song what it is today. Nobody would even know it was a song before them except a handful of geeks.

  • in the painting , Edge looks more Like Maynard Keenan

  • Edge has introduced his own style of guitar playing (delay + plucking) with lead. Totally unique. Similarly Eddie Van Halen introduced finger tapping with lead playing. Amazing guitarists.

Page is something else..... cannot be defined.

  • 2:18 Did Hendrix join them at this point?

  • @Sandyhendry I like to think he stands behind us on every note we bleed..so yeah. definitly

  • fuck!

  • @HeadBangar1030 What I meant is that they play the song based on the cover by Led Zeppelin. "In My Time of Dying" is a folk song. Many have played it; we don't know who has written it. Blind Willie Johnson has recorded one of the earliest versions of the song, entitled "Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed".

  • @CubeableGame okay then

  • @HeadBangar1030 Lol you're a dumbass

  • @bacala777 Lol you're a troll

  • @HeadBangar1030 Lol you thought In My Time Of Dying wasn't a Led Zeppelin song.

  • @bacala777 It's a cover, therefore, not a Led Zeppelin song. I know it was on the Physical Graffiti album and Jimmy slightly rearranged it too.

  • @HeadBangar1030 It's still a Led Zeppelin song dumbass. They remade it and turned it into their own song.

  • @bacala777 They barely rearranged this one, Dazed and Confused, was a template Jimmy Page used to make his own song, but this is just a cover.

  • @HeadBangar1030 I always thought it was a Zeppelin song, but that has happenned with alot of Zep songs for me so I'm not at all surprised. Led Zeppelin was my introduction to the blues as a child in the 1970s.

  • @Doosterify I have that same situation with many of their songs.

  • @HeadBangar1030 In My Time Of Dying Is A Led Zeppelin Song This Is Just A cover With Jack White,And The Edge

  • @324jimmypage And the Led Zeppelin song is a cover of an old folk song.

  • @HeadBangar1030 Not really. It's an old blues thing, but those songs were all interchangeable... Zep took it and made an actual song out of it.

  • @jkovert They did their own version, but it's still a cover...

  • @HeadBangar1030 You already knew that too you dick.

  • @JarnoldEnterprises What do you mean? Yes, I did know that, I don't think you have to tell me. Am I dick because I simply know these things and people on the internet get angry at me for that?

  • This pic would make a sweet tattoo. Me, the 3 guitarist would be Hendrix, Page and Rhoads.

  • awsome

  • I bet "the edge" got effect pedals even before he got an amp hahaha

  • i found a new desktop background

  • The three guitars give this and awesome heavy sound.

  • I laugh at all these Edge bashers. He is infinitely better than probably ANYONE who has commented here, and turns out some of the most interesting sounds from his work. Hell, I'm watching the actual movie right now, and he looks pretty damn good to me!

  • @gunman407 It's not that people are saying he's bad. It's there are far greater guitarists who could have been chosen instead of him.

  • @gunman407

yes hes sound great, but come on Jimmy Page is the master her! and the solo of White is a perfect bluess slide....

  • Replace Edge with Dan from the Black Keys!!

  • If there would be a Western equivalent of this.. it would be The good, the bad and the ugly. .. it's that cool :)

  • they should make a hole move jut rocking an each others song

  • Calm your tits everyone all three are better players than any of us. Personally i think that Jimmy Page is the master of everything but thats my opinion. Never got into U2 but I love the white stripes. Still though seriously give the edge a break.

  • 0:24

    dammit Edge sucks

  • If u want the picture. Put it in full screen mode, hit print screen and paste it into windows paint or anything better u have. a Wa-la!

  • by far my favorite part of this flim! tickles me in the pants region

  • this song has so much soul

  • fall off edge-you don't belong here.

  • i just love how all three styles of these guitarists comes together in such a raw punchy sound man...

  • Actually think The Edge was a pretty good choice in the end as his style is almost the exact opposite of Jack Whites, so we get two completely different perspectives on what the guitar means to music.

  • should have asked gilmour? You think they didn't ? edge is great but he wasn't in top three choices.

  • Such a great, but count of youtube to have people arguing.

  • This is almost better than the original!

  • This is pretty cool. I agree with whoever said that in the movie they should have chosen somebody other than The Edge. I think somebody else that was big in the 80's and 90's should have been there. I think probably Tom Morrello. He uses a lot of effects like The Edge, but people that are into Page's and Jack Whites music are more likely to like Tom Morrello than U2.

  • @Rammulux i think U2 was pretty big in 80's and 90's

  • sorry when Jack plays a riff on this and Edge smiles at him, it is a heavenly moment. Mr. White is raw rocking talent and brings the older gentleman up to their icon status....music gold

  • If The Edge 'sucks' then why Is he jamming on this track? Anyone decent enough to avoid the Edge-bashing craze would know he is an excellent guitarist

  • 64 people are fucking rock stars

  • Who is this Edge guy and why is he playing with the two greatest guitarists of all time?

  • I've always loved Page's slide work. A bit sloppy, and I know there are better slide players, but when you throw this in with other Zep tunes, it just sounds great. Love the version at the Earls Court in '75. Great stuff

  • I understand that everybody is entitled to their opinion, but come on, to everyone who says the Edge sucks...he has sold millions of records, is part of the biggest band playing today that has endured 30 years of changing styles. He has millions of dollars, dozens of guitars, endless gold records, that he wrote, recorded and plays live. His songs are amongst some of the most memorable anthems of modern rock history. And he sucks? Guitar virtuoso, maybe not, but master musician for sure.

  • @joeguitaro just like our good friend Hendrix.

  • @joeguitaro just like our good friend Hendrix, except the millions of dollars.

  • @joeguitaro i would never bash the edge, but he doesnt fit in with the other two in the movie. not a lot of people who like jack white also want to hear about the edge. Great writer, but not the best choice for the movie. I personally think someone like david gilmore wouldve been better

  • @joeguitaro the amount of records he has sold has absolutely nothing to do with how good of a musician he is, popular music is for the masses, which means that it is written easily for most people to follow along, and U2 blows, I dont think the edge should be allowed in the same room as jack white or jimmy page

  • @anklepickcrick

oh shut up you jealous elitist fag

  • @anklepickcrick cos it's not like Jack White or Jimmy Page have ever had ANYTHING to do with mainstream music right? Get a grip.

  • @joeguitaro

I agree on all accounts, but even without the wholly impressive record sales, he's a legend in his own right. If anyone can think of a more appropriate guitar player from his era, I'm all ears. ALL guitar players use pedal or speaker effects to alter their sound. Edge just went the whole nine yards with it.

  • @joeguitaro

He's the best of his generation. Edge introduced layered effects without the pompous assholery of just about any 80's band you can mention. I will take Edge over Van Halen and the rest of the lot. Joshua Tree is a world class album that nobody else from that generation can ever hope to touch.

  • @joeguitaro

britney spears can sell a million records in one week your not gettin anywhere

real music doesnt need to be mass created for the fuckin 5 year olds

  • @joeguitaro Funny, I can't think of a single U2 anthem rock song.

  • jack whites such a beast

sorry to say but pagie is not what he used to be

and i never appreciated the edge, not a u2 fan

  • @igessthsisgrwnup Pagey is and always has been sloppy

Jack White has style but ZERO skill.

  • @detoth67 jack white has enough skill to make robert johnson roll over in his grave

  • @igessthsisgrwnup well page is older than he use to be buddy

  • @igessthsisgrwnup Pagey may not be what he was in 1968-72, however without Jimmy Page there is no Jack White. Its not for nothing that White's sound is continually compared to Page. Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground (for instance) could have been the next track after The Ocean on Houses of the Holy. To say that Jack White is somehow "better" than Page defies logic, reason, and history for that matter. When Jack writes an album comparable to IV from a guitar standpoint, then maybe he could be.

  • @cgraber

dude i fucking know how paige used to sound his band is on the radio every damn day

    and fuck your logic

i can liek a musician better than another who the fuck are you to say im wrong its my opinion

  • @igessthsisgrwnup you can sit there with your retarded opinion. Go nuts. You just don't have a clue is all, and I'm sure nearly everyone would agree to that.

  • Comment removed

  • @cgraber

are you trying to say paige invented blues and slide guitar?

listen to muddy waters, earlhooker, johnny winter they were playing 10X better than paige before he was even born

  • @igessthsisgrwnup No, the point is that Page is and was worlds better than White. White has never written an album in the same realm of commercial or critical success as II, IV, or Physical Graffiti. And yeah, I know Johnny Winter, T-bone Walker, Elmore James, Hound Dog Taylor, Bukka White etc were doing it before, where do you think Page stole that basis of songs from in the first place? People that say gems like "Fuck your logic" shouldn't render an opinion. Its like arguing with a child.

  • @cgraber

i just said that were he stole his shit from you just repeated me

    fuck all these guitarists

and fuck this song it sucks

johnny winter would piss on their faces

  • watch this part of the movie....jimmy page is playing some sort of gibson hollow body. then the second they stop hes hold a les paul.....anyone else notice that?

  • The Edge is possibly the worst famous guitarist ever... that list even includes punk guitarists.

  • that picture is freaking awesome

  • this is one of zeppelin's most underrated songs, and it was perfect for these three to play for the movie, because the original recording was essentially an 11 minute jam session.

  • wish i could play slide. i suck at slide

  • awesome. pls check my video for whammy jam insanity :)

  • can anyone tell me how to get a copy of picture love it. From a frustrated guitar player.

  • @MultiSenoj The picture is not mine. I put a link to download it on the description. Reading a bit more wouldn't be bad:)

  • @MultiSenoj get off your ass fat so

  • woahhh!!!

  • They did far too little jamming in the movie. It had some gret parts though.

  • Jack's doing a little of the Loretta Lynn thing., showing his Jimmy influence if you get my drift. it's all handed down and that's fine by me.

  • sounds a lot like the song death letter

  • could you send me a link to that picture? its incredible!

  • Where did you get that picture? I need it on my wall! Thanks

  • @IlGee The picture is not mine. I put a link to download it on the description.

  • @CubeableGame who's picture is it then

  • @rijste94 I wish I knew. The picture is NOT mine. I give full credit to its original creator.

  • great movie great song this my favorite part

  • @ryantelly

Thats why they stripped it from YouPoop.

  • I'm diggin' the picture, dude!!! Where'd you get it?

  • wonderful, just saw the film an hour ago on the TV and specially loved this piece. thanks!

  • awesome

  • saw the movie amazing seen this was!

  • Thanks a ton for the audio! Led Zeppelin is my favorite band. In My Time Of Dying is one of my favorite songs. This interpretation is amazing, and my favorite part of It 'Might Get Loud'.
