also- "Village Recorder(s)" studio was in West LA, not San Francisco. and EC most likely did record there in 1970 or so. But probably not with Neal Schon. "After Midnight" from his pre-Layla 1970 solo album shows a Village Recordrer credit. imho.
if Eric is on this (quick listen i seem to hear Neal and an echoed Carlos) the date is probably off by a year. The famous Neal/Clapton run-in happened in 1971, when EC came through town on the Dominos lone tour and played two nights at Berkeley Community Theater. I was there the night Neal jammed with EC. In Oct 1970 EC was doing other stuff, not jamming in San Francisco with Neal and whoever. imho
I SAW DEREK AND THE DOMINOS AT BERKELEY IN THE 70'S ( WITH MR SCHON ) ---- IT WAS QUITE A SHOW --- AS I REMEMBER ---- 40 YEARS LATER ---- I THINK WERE FRIED OUT OF OUR MINDS ----- ON SOME KINDA ---- LEAFY ---- VEGETATION ???

Great post Dude - but correct the spelling of Neal's name so Dudes seeking out Neal's stuff will find it more easily.

@GodfreRayKing Holy shit! What did you think of Schon's playing as compared to Claptons? I'm really interested to hear your opinion on that

Very rare historic recording.
Interestingly that both Eric and Santana recognized the talent of Neil Schon
