u can erase a disk with windows u don't need a program to do it.just go computer,right click the cd image and then click erase disk.that's all.hope i helped. :)

@Gleinder1 Actually, the option isn't there on Windows 7. You can try and format the disc, but the data is still in the background, it doesn't wipe the disc clean. Not that this Burnaware worked, mind you, but just thought I'd mention it.

@Gleinder1 thanks man. you guys are all blind then. it should say near the bottom: Format, Eject, ERASE THIS DISC, Copy, Create Shortcut, Properties. CLICK erase this disc, then follow directions. you have to have the correct burner to do this so stop being n00bs and check your computer.

@TheRirishi Yes, that's obvious, because your DVD isn't rewritable. You will need a DVD+RW -> the RW stands for "Rewritable". The R in your DVD stands for "Recordable" which means that it can record data only once.

@TheRirishi Well, if you're using Windows, you could right-click the disc and select "Format Disc" or "Clean Disc" (I'm not really sure what it is in English...) If you're not using Windows as OS, you should check the internet, I'll bet that there are a dozen free programs that do just the same. After erasing / formatting (the files on) the disc, you should be able to rewrite the disc (so yeah, basically like configuring a USB-Flash Drive). This process can be repeated for over a 1000 times.

So you guys dont have to download any software AT ALL, all you have to do is go to "computer" then the CD drive you put the RW cd in, then press erase cd on the top bar.
