Remember years & years ago I think LIFE ran an article about the Russians doing this w/little babies, & we were all amazed. Yet it was simple. b/c newborns, etc had a natural instinct to holding their breath or something (they only had so much of a time window to work with). But yes, we should be teaching little kids like this to swim as early as possible. Think of how many drowning accidents would be prevented.
