knewhams: Just out of curiosity of a longtime Minnesota resident-How cold was it when this was captured? I'm guessing about minus 15 degrees f.

Really interesting video, with this steam ship. I like the was you can see a lot of detail on it carrying its own unloading gear!
It didn't look as if it was going to make that turn. Very cool!

Great vid.
It's farther and more treacherous from the St.Lawrence to Duluth, than it is from John O' Goats in Scotland to Newfoundland.

Great video. You should try to get the John G. Munson on video, if I remember right doesn't the Munson have a unusual horn?

I am told that the steam whistle on the Munson which was great as you mentioned, has been replaced by a whistle power by air
