  • I notice there was no mention on using science fiction, especially books as a method of making science interesting to kids. But I bet the kids have to read Shakespeare.

Try A FALL OF MOONDUST by Arthur C. Clarke.

  • The probelm is with THE PARENTS. For example, I never knowed that alot of science is really Satanic and anti-God, like this evolution and quantim fisics nonsinse, so me and a other concerned parents from my church got together and demanded all this silly "evolution" and "quantim mecanics" junk removed from our school texbooks. Our children will not be poissoned by this silly science junk down here in Okluhoma.!

  • nice fake profile dousche

  • make schools competitive and close down schools which are inefficient

make teachers compete and ones who have better test scores stay

fire the rest only keep the best

in no time teaching be as good as it gets

  • Most of the teachers are actually pretty good. But even the best teachers can't do much with low budget and general neglect of the educational administration run by people who don't know anything about science or education.

  • i tend to disagree. Most teachers dont teach with association and they could care a tad more. (it all depends maybe your teachers were better) However school in USA is horrible and thats not because of funding school in Europe receive much less funding but they still do much better on standard tests. Especially HS and middle school.

I dont think political parties care to make it good either since the dumber the populus the easier it is to control. Internet FTW thou

  • Hmmm 8000 times 30 is what 240000. Doesn't sound like money is the problem. So what's real problem? Could it be substandard teaching levels? I'm more and more in favor of charter schools and letting funds follow the students.

  • Actually that's pretty darn low compared to the rest of the world.

  • well i was lo balling the numbers but how much do other countries spend per student for education?

  • This video is very interesting! I agree - the current form of education is failing....... the standards are getting lower and lower in order to keep kids in school... And yet, even when in the school building, are they learning?
