@alexfpower Alex, please re-write this and re-post! I think you have a great sense of humor but I really need to keep my video's comments clean of untoward language because kiddies read this stuff. And FYI just because your MASTER can break a brick with his CHI, does not mean he can rip a modern thick cotton nylon re-enforced t-shirt from the gap! You could hang a grand piano off of that thing!
@MrRay4ever Agree with you, making fun of any martial art or sport is just disgusting. Seriously, you really think you can make fun of something that has been created by brilliant, peacefull and respectfull people?
haha omg why soo much fuckin hate on this vid? What people arent allowed to have fun anymore? Besides everyone is missing the point and focusing on the wrong thing here... What we really need to be focusin on is who the fuck is that cute lil azn chick? Cuz I'm pretty sure shes a ninja...waiting for the right moment to murder everyone..
I like Taiji. I like BJJ. I like TMA . I like MMA.
I however dislike arrogant, ignorant people spewing ideas they have gotten from other people. Seriously people, think a little. MMA is a sport, however it is a sport about beating other people up. It will help you in a real fight, regardless of the lack of eye gouges, groin kicks, neck jabs, ect.
Most TMA are also effective, and that's usually a matter of how they are trained , you may have your own opinions on that, okay. But a good master of any martial art that he has trained in to fight with, will be able to fight. I have seen taiji guys win sanda tournaments. I'll bring out the age old adage, it's not the style, it's the practitioner.
@buddy2000529 Hi there, I know people like to argue about this all the time but hold on for a second. The problem with martial arts is that they work! They all work. The problems arise because a particular mindset becomes too rigid. The ability to spontaneously change the game being played is the most potent mojo a martial artist can have. Your argument is a good one, but it also holds for theatrical, film and stage combat styles.
@ogscott Thank you for pointing this out. You make a good point in that it's mainly the rigid mindset. I never really think of performance arts such as XMA and capoeria angola as martial arts, i think of them as gymnastics + kicking.
@buddy2000529 I'd like to argue your point a little. Not that the practitioner doesn't matter, but that his training matters more. To me it is Training>Individual>Style. You could have a fighter with the most potential in the world, but if you only teach him poorly, he still won't be able to contend with even an average fighter who has been trained very well.
@MrRay4ever Shame on people making fun of Tai Chi? Tell you what, we'll stop making fun of Tai Chi as soon as Tai Chi "fighters" stop claiming it's an effective martial art! It's pretty much the most worthless Martial Art there is. There's a reason it's so hard to find video of a Tai Chi practitioner fighting a Muay Thai, BJJ or Judo expert...and that is that they will get their ass kicked 100% of the time.
Bro you just don't understand do you? BJJ, Judo, Muay Thai, Boxing? These styles wouldn't last a second in the true martial world. Do you know why? It's called eye gouging, groin kicks, knee kicks, and much, much more. I'm not a Tai Chi practitioner, but I am a Taekwondo/Combat Aikijujitsu practitioner, and many people tell me to my face that my art is crap. "You can kick high, but if I take you to the ground you will be crying.", "That stuff sucks, do MMA". If only you could fathom.
@VaizardDaishi again, another person who thinks doing a martial arts stops you from eye gouging, fish hooking and fighting dirty. you dont need training to stick ur finger in someones eye for fuck sake. all martial arts work in the real world and all martial arts have no power over making you a rigid fighter. i do japanese jujitsu, but everytime i spar i go for the nose, eyes and throat. youre a fuckin idiot to think a martial doesnt work because its clean.
Japanese Jujitsu is different than BJJ though. BJJ is more sport oriented. (It's not a self defense system because if you get jumped you can't put someone in an armbar and expect the other guy not to stomp you). By the way, you seem to be the idiot here, I was saying that training the Ring styles like boxing and whatnot, you don't learn the self defense ways of martial arts because they have to go by rules, that's why it doesn't work AS WELL as others. You misunderstood me.
@VaizardDaishi all i was trying to point out was learning any martial art, even sport based doesnt stop you fighting dirty in reality. i read that as you implying that.
I meant art on art though. Generally when you join a self-defense based art you learn dirty tricks and correct ways to menuever them. Since you do jujitsu you know what I'm talking about. I do Daito Ryu AikiJujitsu and you talk about some dirty hand and shoulder cranks, or some nasty attacks to the face. Most of the time, it does stop them from trying to fight dirty though. Training so long with rules, how will you react when the fight comes ya know? Just saying.
@VaizardDaishi yeh i get what your saying; i hate sport based martial arts personally, dont see the point. all i meant to say was dirty fighting comes naturally. obviously you can refine that through certain defensive arts but everyone will fight dirty when it comes to it :)
@tantalon111 Yes, this is an important adage that refers to the problem that in the kinethstetic realm experience trumps ideas. Understanding follows from experience. But none of that is an argument for being inarticulate. Go on, hit the bag, get your feelings into words!
@Einheri89 Okay, we agree on all that but I think you are missing my main point. The specific training for face to face tournament sparing or grappling has a high probability of working against you in a fight for survival against a criminal or a predator. Social fighting and asocial fighting are profoundly different animals which require different training. A fist to the head tends to hurt the hand more than the head. It's not Kodokan vs. MMA...it's the context that matters.
@Einheri89 Sorry bro- I think you misunderstood me. By using the term "challenge match" I did not mean "sporting event." Fire4ever was asking for "real fights," not sporting events, or matched and sponsored fights for money. And I'll stand by what I said, if any of those guys are involved in spontaneous challenge matches they are not well adjusted and those of us who take martial arts seriously (or humorously) should not count them as our own. Well adjusted people avoid fighting.
On a side note, it is true that the line between 'art' and 'sport' is crossed by many people. I'm personally into the art. But do not confuse wild showmanship, martial prowess, and bravado with a personal grudge monkey dance on the street or outside a bar. They are totally different animals even if the promoters of the spectacle tend to use immature confrontational language. Physically, mentally, emotionally and legally they are completely different.
@fize4ever Since you're only16 I'm gonna essplain it to you. People who video fights, plan them in advance. If they are pscyco, they use a surprise attack, and the video is evidence that will put them away. If they are involved in a challenge match then they probably aren't martial artists because we be well adjusted and don't be needing to put people down in order to feel okay about ourselves. Clear?
@BakuraFox and everyone else reading this. Do not write abut drug use in my video comments, you will be deleted. People use drugs because they are afraid of freedom, they are afraid of their own desires. Weed causes serious brain damage over the long term, if you've been around it for 20 years you know this from watching the effects on people you love (unless you are the one with brain damage). All drugs will shorten your life.
@removalmitt What exactly is your suggestion? My kids want to call it, "All Things Defeated!" Actually you raise an interesting philosophical question: How does one reconcile the fixed nature of names with the changing nature of the cosmos? For instance, The United Kingdom is neither united nor a kingdom anymore.
@MapleStoryRogueAzn Uhhh, we can! There is a long history of fighting hippies and even warrior hippies: Samson! Custer! Hercules! Qingshi Huangdi! the Buffalo Soldiers! Geronimo! Thor! even Big Foot!
XD I cwas already cracking up when I saw the guy xDD TO all the poeple who might have gotten offended, Dont be. Im a martial artist and even we do stuff like this for Kicks xD

@dannielpreto What? Even in the US you're seeing 1:08? This is an outrage. I uploaded 1:07, and my video on my channel and everywhere else shows 1:07. What is being shown for that extra second? Is it some kind of subliminal message that Youtube is adding to brain wash people into believing that they are wasting their life? Is it black opts? Aliens? See my blog "Weakness with a Twist" for updates on this important breaking story!
omg I've been studying martial art all my life and I have never seen a psychological defense technique that is SO INCREDIBLY USEFUL i mean all those dumb flashy techniques wasted years of my life when all i could do is rip off my shirt and scare da shit out of the person thanks for sharing your idea i tried it on a big black guy, boy let me tell you he ran so far away more then a tai chi master striking CHI into a person.
@PhobiaGuy Don't touch it. They call it Fire Chicken in China, that was the last time I ate it, Sichuan actually, oh man, too much chili pepper, my lips were burning for days.
@Topazman12 He looked more like he'd prefer the Asian guy ripping his shirt off. If that guy had a construction hat, he could join the village people.
@geitekop507 you're bitching about wasting 68 seconds of your life? go talk to your mother and ask her how long of her life she wasted giving birth to you.
@Siddthartha That reminds me. I can use it in a house, I can use it with a mouse, I can use it on a ledge, I can use it in the hedge, I can use it when I'm sad, I can use it for a pad, I can use it here or there, I can use it anywhere!
@ogscott i'm russian, not a native speaker, so no i don't have)
but belive me -- taichi is a very strange system. it has some secret) invisible (!) part of action. and it's fact. that is couse of why it looks like funny game but you can see (sometimes) that a pretty respected and real fighter tells "it's really cool, guys"!
Hey I just topped 600 thousand! Lately I've been getting a rush of people who need to be deleted because they use bad words. If you are upset to learn that Tai Chi has been a performing art all along, and you want to vent, fine. Just don't use bad words. Also, people, just because Tai Chi is a performing art doesn't mean that it is without martial prowess. Think outside the cage!
@LeandroDomingues ,, Dude, I totally sympathize with you! If video games had been any good when I was a kid my mind would have been completely consumed and destroyed...too. Fortunately we only had a hand held "football" game that had blinking red lights that could move forward or up and down.
@ogscott man i wish i was born in Asia in a remote time ago... I love the martial arts, and wisdom of the Asians.
But now we can't do nothing about the new world :S
its too late, now we only can upgrade what we have for better, we don't have any reset button.. I have grow up with games but my mind always think "and if i was a great samurai or better" ... Because that mans have seen the great things of life.. and most of them have discovered their body and minds like no one can do now..
@LeandroDomingues Yes, they looked for meaning in chaos and found patterns there. But in stillness it all returned to chaos. We all have our own built-in reset button.
@Rossgore13 You EMO girls can be mean to the older generation if you want, but remember when I was your age no individual even owned a video camera or a computer! If you wake up some day and realize that most people in the world are pretty stupid, what will you do? How can you say your response is intelligent if all you do is name calling? Take it to heart, take it as a challenge!

@BOGZASV8MA i can use taichi in a fight. and it's very useful, much more useful than this video is fun.)
Siddthartha 1 year ago
@Siddthartha That reminds me. I can use it in a house, I can use it with a mouse, I can use it on a ledge, I can use it in the hedge, I can use it when I'm sad, I can use it for a pad, I can use it here or there, I can use it anywhere!
Did you all have a point?
ogscott 1 year ago 15
@ogscott i'm russian, not a native speaker, so no i don't have)
but belive me -- taichi is a very strange system. it has some secret) invisible (!) part of action. and it's fact. that is couse of why it looks like funny game but you can see (sometimes) that a pretty respected and real fighter tells "it's really cool, guys"!

@bonzard i know wat ya mean. People need to stop screwin around with serious stuff if they have nothin better to do with their time.
Elementwatcher 1 year ago
Hey I just topped 600 thousand! Lately I've been getting a rush of people who need to be deleted because they use bad words. If you are upset to learn that Tai Chi has been a performing art all along, and you want to vent, fine. Just don't use bad words. Also, people, just because Tai Chi is a performing art doesn't mean that it is without martial prowess. Think outside the cage!

@LeandroDomingues ,, Dude, I totally sympathize with you! If video games had been any good when I was a kid my mind would have been completely consumed and destroyed...too. Fortunately we only had a hand held "football" game that had blinking red lights that could move forward or up and down.
ogscott 1 year ago
@ogscott man i wish i was born in Asia in a remote time ago... I love the martial arts, and wisdom of the Asians.
But now we can't do nothing about the new world :S
its too late, now we only can upgrade what we have for better, we don't have any reset button.. I have grow up with games but my mind always think "and if i was a great samurai or better" ... Because that mans have seen the great things of life.. and most of them have discovered their body and minds like no one can do now..
LeandroDomingues 1 year ago
sorry for my english but i hope you have got the idea.
they have seen the true meaning of life!
LeandroDomingues 1 year ago
@LeandroDomingues Yes, they looked for meaning in chaos and found patterns there. But in stillness it all returned to chaos. We all have our own built-in reset button.

@Rossgore13 You EMO girls can be mean to the older generation if you want, but remember when I was your age no individual even owned a video camera or a computer! If you wake up some day and realize that most people in the world are pretty stupid, what will you do? How can you say your response is intelligent if all you do is name calling? Take it to heart, take it as a challenge!
