Hello, I need some help trying to find a video I saw last month. The Instructor was giving a class, using Jack's workout program ( without all the talking) . It was very 1980's looking. If you see it, please let me know. thank you :)
I just love Jack Lalanne, he has influenced so many people to a better life over the years. I used to watch him as a kid and exercise along side my grandmother. What great memories.
Poor people aren't happier. But they know if they lose their hapiness then there is nothing else left. Perhaps they have a more realistic view on the really important things in life. All the others are always competing with each other and cannot enjoy all the good things they already have.
it depends more on the person than their health, not just opinion but the truth. look at gabriel iglesias. he could probably be the role model of happiest people on this earth and the guy is obese. but i agree on that if a person is obese and depressed a lot it has to do with him/her not being happy with THEMSELVES
Jack Lalanne was one of the few true great American heroes. A very kind man, very concerned with the health and wellbeing of others to the point of making it the entire focus of his life. If only we had a hundred more like them, we could turn this country around in seconds flat.
@themusicmatterz I know right? it's weird they ate the same back then they also had the same issues we had today, I think its just that americans are hard headed.
A true American. Even though that word is subjective. I think this guy wanted the best for us as a people, he had a great philosophy on health and nurture and I use his juicer everyday. I am swimming with 40lbs, 66 meters, non-stop, trying to be like this.
He was absolutely right. I had a teacher in college who was from the barrios of Sao Paulo. She said that they grew up poor, but were always happy. And she could never understand how Americans who had so much could be so miserable.
@Lindawatcher How can you say such thing?!!!! He was a good man who helped alot of overweight people get where they wanted to be, you know what it's pathetic that you'd even say that.
@Lindawatcher Unlikely because in a lot of his videos he talked about "the good Lord" & seemed to be a Christian so he should be one of the few that are in heaven.
I smile most of the time but i don't consider myself happy. I can't help myself not smiling. So people should always smile. Great message. I can't wait to watch all of your videos and advises. R.I.P Jack Lalanne.
I smile most of the time but i don't consider myself happy. I can't help myself not smiling. So people should always smile. Great message. I can't wait to watch all of your videos and advises. R.I.P Jack Lalanne.
That was great advice, thank you Jack, and I do take his advice to heart, because he lived by example until he was 96 years old, so he must have been doing SOMETHING right, but thank you for the inspiration you've given me and countless others, you are being missed right now...
This matches my own thoughts and philosophy about life I can't believe I never knew about Jack Lalanne until after he died...I am sad, humbled but inspired to know that this man greatly contributed to societies health and fitness. He is so charismatic and down to earth genuine it feels unreal. As he said himself he was 40 years ahead of his time and knew more about the workings of his muscles in his body than most doctors.
Jack LaLanne, brought fitness to the masses, right into their living rooms; in a fun energetic way that has never been duplicated. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for his inspiration when I was a young, out-of-shape kid wanting to be better and for him blazing the trail for me to do for others, exactly what he did for me. Goodbye Jack. I will try my best to live up to the example you set. Believe me, there will never be another. Jack was it.
@FusionFPDoylestown Your comment was very inspiring! It is really nice to know that there are other people like myself who truly do care and try to make this world a better place. Thank you for posting.
@pete0969wi but if you have money and drive a Porsche, you get pussy! and you dont even have to be in shape so... Especially when a fitness model at the ripe age of 28 could get run over by a fat, outta shape slob, driving a Porshe while hes getin a BJ... just sayin'
Jack LaLanne knew how to live the good life. It was long and happy. I'm sure he died with a smile on his face. I saw this video of him and it shows how truly happy he was. youtube.com/watch?v=CKEHWISVi9U
It's amazing how applicable this video is even today. He was more than just a fitness instructor, Lalane showed people how to live a better life. He will be missed.
definitely ahead of his time and i personally think he died too young for how fit he is. my daughter says "maybe he didn't eat smuckers!" i had no choice but to laugh. well at least he died in top shape for his age. RIP.
Amazing .when was this the 50s? He was a ahead of his time. Thanks for all the great memories Jack! You truly inspired millions of people to live better lives! You will surely be missed.
Mr. Lalanne - you are my hero! Your philosophy of life was so positive and beautiful! Thank you for giving me the gift of lifelong staying in shape - or as we ladies say it now - we are workin' it!
Right ON Mr. LaLanne. Life hasn't changed very much. I hope this gets a million hits today, and I hope when each person watches it, they get UP, get OUT and get HAPPY.
Complications from flu shots are rare. There are many, many more complications and deaths from not receiving the flu vaccine. You also can not get the flu from receiving the flu shot. If Jack LaLanne received the flu shot it showed he continued to be a smart man about health matters.
They're just jealous of him. He didn't advocate popping a quick pill to fix everything, but instead encouraged getting fit the natural way.
