Sorry but this clearly demonstrates how never to handle a static sensitive device, also the acid in the oil on your fingers will corrode the copper contacts and cause the card to be unstable latter on even if you have not killed a few thousand transistors with static or ruined the ram on the board. You really should demonstrate to people that there are static bags on these cards for a reason, should not touch any part of the circuit board or connector.

@waseem1173 well i have a GTX460 1gb edition and it runs quite cool with the default fan (going to wait to get a 580 before getting another water brick) it runs when playing Deus Ex (which is the heaviest game i got apart from crysis 2) aand it just reached 40c stays 38 usually and idle around 34c.

In all benchmarks (crysis, crysis warhead, farcry 2 and resident evil 5) you will see that hd5870 score a lot of frames lower than GTX295. Go watch pleas!

No you're wrong you have to have the same cards for SLI or Crossfire but you can run 2 diff cards to make 1 handle PhisX. I have a GTX260 as my main card & my old 9800gt running the physX... its called multicard i believe. It's on the Nvidia website if you wanna check it out

First of all, the average PC plays every game (also ports) at higher resolutions and with better textures and overall higher graphics settings. Secondly, people who buy these cards also use them for rendering and scientific simulations, not just for games.

if you could tell me your screen size and resolution i could check for you. erm on 30 inch resolution. which is like 2560x1600 you can run crysis at max everything and you will get 40-ish fps, but the fps will be wayy more at lower resolution, providing your screen isnt that high res. btw the ati 4870x2 is the top of the range ati so far so dw it will be more than satisfactory. do u have a pci-e 2.0 slot on ur motherboard?
