As the way of all things, what effect do you suppose its question, knowledge, understanding and application by billions of persons will have on the state of global economics, science, the humanities, education, government and business?
.
The underlying law of nature is the most important subject any person can investigate and learn about, can proceed to understand, and can then come to personally apply in life.

These videos are being shown all over our city. I was skeptical at first so I took my father In-law (a former biologist) to a lesson 5 showing. He said in the class after it was done and open for discussion, "it's about time that the lies get exposed and the truth is brought to the forefront".
There is a dissent from Darwin's theory on line for you to see. Go to
dissentfromdarwindotorg You will see the growing list of PHD's saying they don't buy it!
@WHEELSRUP The Dissent From Darwin petition is hilarious. There are almost no biological scientists on the list and there are a very large number of people holding the post Professor Emeritus. This means they have been serving the university an exceptionally long time and as such received their only schooling in biology in high school in the first half of the 20th century before significant advances had been made. It took a decade for the list to gather 700 signatures. Wow.
@WHEELSRUP Instead you should look up Project Steve, a counter-petition set up to show support for the fact of evolution and the theory of evolution by natural selection. It features over 60% of signatories as actively involved and qualified in biological sciences. Only people called Steve or variations thereon are allowed to sign, yet in 8 years they have collected almost 1,200 signatures. Dissent from Darwin? No, only a few crackpots who know nothing about science...
Lesson 5 of "The Truth Project" is full of bad logic, poorly reasoned philosophy, and pseudo-science. It tarnishes a "project" with which I would agree with wholeheartedly if it weren't for this lesson.
It's a 2-hour advertisement for the Discovery Institute and uses significant portions of their ID-related films, preaches Michael Behe's tired "irreducible complexity" argument (Behe, BTW, acknowledges that human beings and the great apes share a common ancestor!), screams "Evolution is a theory in crisis!" at every turn, and equates belief in evolution with atheism.
I just finished watching the complete versions of Parts 1 and 2. It was a waste of two hours. As an Evangelical Christian myself, I was sorely disappointed. I alternated between righteous anger, sadness, and laughing hysterically. Dr. Tackett was clearly wading into waters much too deep for him.
I just finished watching the first 5 videos of the Truth Project and it is awesome! I especially enjoyed the clip of the little girl on this one explaining how blood clots. I always enjoy science because it just confirms my belief in the Creator. What amazes me is when he shows quotes from renowned scientists (of the 99% mentioned on this board) who actually state that evolution can't be true yet they choose to believe it anyway! Duh!
I've watched this whole video..twice so far...there is so much to it. By the way..Darwin denounced his own theory before he died. With the info we have found in the last 40 years (in regard to DNA) scientists now realize that everything has been designed.
This is nothing but creationist propaganda. Through this lesson, which I sat through, you find out that Focus on the Family is pushing an anti-science agenda.
haha..come on gotribe.."anti-science"..you sat through that whole video and thats what you got from it?! The whole point of it is to show that science is beautiful and points to truth..whatever that is. Christians aren't afraid of science because, believe it or not, we think we're right! Science points to God and thats all that the video is showing. Yes it argues some scientific theories, but thats not hating on science, just contributing to the ongoing dialogue that is scientific advancement!

No Darwin did not.
With all the "info" we have, specifically DNA, 99.9% of scientists now hold evolution to be true.

Darwin did no such thing. Urban legend.

This lesson was great! it really asks some awesome questions! and does a great job explaining proof of a creator!

If you dislike this so much why are you all watching this, sounds to me you are closet Christians.

Great Video, you will have to watch the video, they slam darwinism into the ground and these questions have everything to do with a creator.
rage1605 4 years ago
none of those questions have anything what so ever to do with darwinian evolution.

You'll have to get into a Truth Project group and watch the entire video.
