  • Lovely song, but who is the singer it isn't Neil Sedaka?

  • Excellent! A pure voice and entertainer.

  • The music that it is a sad, beautiful melody and loves in Neil Sedaka most.

  • hermosisima cancion que me hace recordar a mi hermano ya fallecido

  • Nice song by his author. But Elvis, as usual, did it better...

  • Great feelings Niel, you do everything okej!!

  • To those of us who have ever played the game of hearts and lost, and, in reflection, thought about our part in it's conclusion....

  • This song is for you, Corey.

  • Sedaka deserves Hall of Fame for writing this song. He's still not in!

It's just with the heart that one can view, what in essence, is invisible to the eye.

A little hope, goes up in smoke......

  • What a fucking fantastic song.

I'm not so sure about the movie, but it goes with the track pretty well I suppose.

  • This is such a moving song, I love it.

Neil Sedaka is such a wonderful song writer.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Neil Sedaka wrote it in the late 60s or early 70s...I heard him perform it at O'hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio in the mid 70s.....

  • The song sounds depressing, but yet, everyone gets something out of one's neuroses.

  • Andy williams ,Neil Sedaka,Carpenters

  • Elvis Presley too...

  • pardon my probable ignorance but didnt andy williams sing this 10 years earlier?

  • Great song, the best one that I know, bring tears in my eyes. Thanks for video. Congratulations.

  • What movie was the video from? looks interesting

  • @girlblue923 phantom of the opera

  • Piękna piosenka i cudny teledysk.

  • Nice song, i love it

  • Who is singing here? Voice a bit shot at the top, but it's got something!

  • Neil Sedaka !!!!!!!!, best regards from Argentina.

  • On this (first) version of 1972, Neil is accompanied by the British popgroup 10 CC (Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart...).

Neil Sedaka deserves his place in the Rock Hall Of Fame - please search for the petition on Google...

  • great

  • Andy Williams' version was the best :)

  • andy williams sang this? oh, i could totally see him doing a good job with this.

  • Yes, Andy Williams actually brought out an album entitled Solitaire after this track on it - can't find it to listen to complete but you should be able to find a clip on Amazon. You'll love it.

  • ok i'll definitely check that out. thanks for the tip!

  • The song was written by Neil Sedaka.

  • it's ok I do prefer the Carpenter for the interpretation Merci et Bonne chance!

  • I agree

Carpenters sound great interpreting this song

  • this is a beautiful song. do yourself a favor and listen to the Carpenters version, it's beyond belief.

  • this song made me cry, do you watch american idol? i think four years back, clay aiken sang this and it was magnificent! neil himself was crying. it was so good.

  • that was kind of a weird way to put it...let me try again. The song sort of matches Erik's predicament and sort of doesn't...He wasn't indifferent about Christine, he just didn't have what she wanted. But other than that, the song matches remarkably well. Again, nice job.

  • nice video, but some of the pics don't match...great idea, though.
