@performance1307 I'm coming in a little late here but trimming the outdrive up does not make it slow down. It makes it speed up. When the bow goes up, the hull comes out of the water reducing the amount of wetted surface and therefore lowering drag which will increase rpm's and ultimately make your boat go faster. To boot, by trimmin your boat up it can make the ride much smoother as well. Ever notice boats with large "rooster tails"? That's from trimming the drive up.

Why didn't you trimm the sterndrive higher? There is a lot more potential! How fast is the boat with a 5,7Liter Volvo GXI?
