I really love the way that you come up with great tunes without over the top shredding. You demonstrate that great tunes can be composed with relatively straightforward left hand fingerings. It is all about the tune, the melody and the rhythm, not about how hard it is to fret. Great job.
In some cases maybe but there are some virtuoso guitarists out there who play to impresss too much and not just to make great music. When they get carried away with licks and runs that are out of context of the tune it all gets lost in a display of dazzling but meaningless technique. This is what Joe does not do so he is a virtuoso with taste and class.
That's true ay. For instance, I'm not really good at those fast licks and shredding, so I try to make the melody really catchy, with good bass and rhythm. Bergeson Fries and Midnight in nashville are good examples. But I guess if you have that much skill, you gotta flaunt it at some point ay :)

Make a book with some playing tutorials and the TABS to your compositions and earn a fortune. There are so few good contemporary compositions out there. Other than that, enjoy your Germany tour. A crying shame your leaving out Cologne, but I have decided not to take it personally.
