  • i just paused at 1:25 without even watching the video and it was enuff 2 make me remembr...

  • thumbs up youre in 5th grade!! lol i am :3

  • What?

  • Lol, i learned this way in the 3rd year of school .... may you too, but u didnt remeber it, because of using to much an calculator?

btw in germany we do it that way:

    2927 : 132 = 22,17

    264

    .287

    .264

    ..230

    ..132

    ....980

    and so one

  • thanks. now i can take my math entrance exam lol. i'm so bad at math.

  • thanks this helped

  • Thanks it helped

  • @papabear0311 WT Heck happens to the last 56 aren't u suppose to drop another 0?

  • @6969cobra Yes, you can keep dropping zeros and carry the decimal to as many places as you want.

  • @6969cobra

You can keep on dropping the zeros but jusr remember that: Any zero number after the whole number(in this case ''22'' is the whole number) doesn't make any difference to the further number calculation. It makes difference only if the zero number is before a last number rather something different than zero.

    Example: 22.1700000<---zeros don't make a difference; 22.017000000<---zeros before 17 make difference. ;)

  • @TheGamesGuides No dipparoo!

  • @Thecrimsonhill Haters gonna hate.Papabear0311, don't listen to these idiots

  • How rude to speak to someone helping others that way..you people are gonna have a great karma!! ::::::rolling eyes::::::

  • thanks nyou helped me... ignore those idiots who critize

  • @Thecrimsonhill bit harsh, he is only trying to help.

  • Wow, as a math teacher I was expecting more. Quite boring and I suspect it would be hard to follow by someone who has never done long division before.

  • in elementary and 6th and i think 7th grade ( not sure about 7th ) you CANT use calculators bc they want u to teach u it in pencil and paper form so you can remember it when u grow up. They teach kids alot differently know so can u pppl shut up and stop complaining *.*

  • Do it*

  • Wow no point uploading it cuz it's not the easy for the quickest way do knead everyone knows how to do that get it faggot

  • ive been using a calculator for so long, i forgot how to do basic division...

  • Math on paper is no longer relevant to todays society and its a waste of educational dollars to continue teaching it this way. Pick up a calculator and/or plug numbers into a computer!

  • @idolkritiq Dude thats so ignorant.

  • @ProspectNumber2 Hey if you want to live in the 18th century go ahead - clearly most everyone else will be moving forward!

  • @idolkritiq 18th century huh? Well as wrong as that is we'll move on. Alright pal, say every person that needs to do any math ever just starts using calculators. Fuck pencils and paper, much easier right? So what happens when the accessibility of these electronics is scarce? What happens when electronics are destroyed by EMPs (Im not paranoid I just accept the idea of realistic possibilities). What the fuck are we going to do then. My God, we might just have to revert to USING OUR BRAINS!

  • And not to mention, How in the hell are pencils and paper more costly than computers and calculators? I can only assume you are some brat born mid to late 90's who has no fucking clue about life before computers.

  • @ProspectNumber2 ... who said anything about pencils and papers being more costly? The concept was that its no longer the 18th century - we DO have computers and calculators readily available!

Teaching is about learning and knowing how to find answers and its much more efficient to take 30 minutes to teach a kid how to use a calculator that will give them the correct answer 100% of the time than to spend weeks teaching them how to do long division that many will struggle with.

  • what if your techer dosent accept remainder

  • @KaylaSchembri thats wat my teacheas do, theyr so DOPEY!!!!!!

  • toooo manyyy numberrsss!!! why are there toooo many numberrs??... MY BRAIN HURTS! :( lmao

  • I DONT GET THIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! im retarted! :'(

  • @SwaggerificChick1 kill your self stupid,,,,,, lol jp. you will get it. just keep at it

  • thanx! Gr 7 will be a piece of cake or killing a grunt on easy in halo lol

  • i still don't get it. i have no idea how to even looking at several different examples and having several different people try to explain it and i still don't understand i only get frustrated and very upset

  • I had no idea how to do it, even though we have been doing it in class for about 4 weeks, I just dont listen! I think it might be cos I sit next to the window and stare out but, none of my persoasl life! thx sooooooo much cos u explaed it really well, and i kinda get it now X_X =D =) =P =T this is getting boring! =F =S =0 :) =] Awarks...
  • thanks. i was looking for a even easier way, but this helped also

  • this video is very helpful thank you so much for making it

  • The problem with this algorithm is that it forces you do to multiple products to figure out what number fits in. For example

    280 / 3085 = ?

You have to figure out how many 3 085 fits in 28 000. You are screwed if you can't do it mentally, you're forced to do 9x 3085 and see if it is less than 28 000...

  • very helpful im going back to school and you just refreshed my memory thanks....

  • this video is so clear and i understand now how to do long division , thank you so much !!

  • What's wrong with me, I need a new brain cos this 1 I've got, well I think I had 1, well I thought I had 1, doesn't work. I'm going 2 buy a new brain, any1 want 2 sell me a brain. 1 that works will be great thanks, I've had with mine. Stupid brain I've got.

  • ARGH!!!! i think im going to cry and pull put my hair all at the same time... *soul flies away*

  • You are a life saver. I'm 22 and going to take my ged testing and I forgot how to do long division. For the longest I just didn't ask cause I didn't wanna seem stupid but reading the comments I see that you just forget over time, plus when you have a calculator ya tend to forget faster lol.

  • OK im 41 and I ONLY JUST GOT IT!! Thank you, I don't really see it as being complicated any more :))))

  • The easist way to do this is to use a calculator... lol, but this is good if your calculator runs out of batteries or something

  • Great help. Your the best!!

  • how did he get the 32?

  • This is how i learned it in school

  • Isn't the the basic and the commom way to do division?

Sorry if I'm wrong, but this is the only way I've ever learn since I was a kid.

  • no problem, anthony, and remember I'll help u more in person if u need it, ok?

  • I really suck at math lolz

anyway did you decide what kind of bike your going to get?

  • Yea you do lol!

  • Yea, Anthony suggested a 250 Yamaha 4 stroke, and I think I'm gonna save up for one. I don't have the money right now lol

  • I wouldnt go for a 4 stroke there really hard to maintain

Go for a 125 2 stroke or mabey even a 250 2 stroke and stay away from Suzuki and kawasaki there not good
