Love all the lizzy axemen -from eric bell to midge ure to Sykes ...& all in between -but i must say ...Mr gorham has been the biggest influence on my playing -so - My tip of the hat 2nd best era :Eric bell - 1st : Robbo and scott .

Its a bit sad ....when you say thin lizzy people go "boys are back " ....so much more to em than that ....i love this band -like an old friend . PS: scott : Get your arse to australia !!!!!

@Fangalatic He probably was referring to the bands excesses...some people remember what they did when they were smashed, some don't (you get me?). I saw that classic line-up in '77 in NYC (Paladium)...this after aborted attempts due to Phil's hepatitis and Robbo punching walls cancelling succesive tours (think, they were to open for Rainbow in Asbury Park...didn't know they weren't going to show, and we ended up with Henry Gross (who?)...How fantastic a double bill that would have been.

Although not my fave band in the world, I did see Thin Lizzy three times and I have to say they delivered an excellent gig. Phil seemed like a really genuine guy and I always felt he appreciated that people had paid there hard earned money to see his band - and boy, did he deliver on the night. He just loved being the showman !.

The rest of the band were great too !. Loved it when Robbo was with them.
