  • I was in the audience for this scene, going from her being brought in by helicopter till she dies. They didn't tell the audience she was going to collapse so the screams you hear are real. They did camellia about 4 times and the other songs twice each.

  • She's DIVINE Ms.M, she's GRRREAT she's THE ROSE!!! Bette Midler

  • i love the movie

  • "The Rose" was the most powerful movie I've ever seen; one of those films that stays with you long after watching it. Bette Midler's performance was brilliant - her acting and singing both were unmatched by anyone.

  • this was sure a long very long movie..i fell asleep half way...(

  • I may get my copy of the movie out and watch it tomorrow. It's one of my most cherished possessions. Loving this. Thank You.

  • What was the name of the song the band was playing when Rose was flying in the copter to the stadium in the final scene?

  • @vstlmoox357 The song is "Camellia" it is now on youtube. Type in "Camellia soundtrack from the Rose"

  • Amy.

  • Bette Midler, one of the greatest talents of the20th century, portrays Janis Joplin, one of the greatest talents of the 20th century. Unforgettable!!!

  • I just saw this for the first time last night, a tour-de-force film debut if there ever was one, cannot believe she never did more films like this

  • Beautiful..................................

  • I wish they still made movies like these

  • OMG! I cried at watching that! I remember seeing that film as a kid and it stayed with me. I've loved Bette for long now...she is legend!!

  • What was amazing about this movie was that it showed the realistic side of rock that isn't the great wonderful glamourous life that everyone thinks it is... it also showed how these concert promoters & these agents who represent these stars don't give a shit about them all they care about is how much money they can make off their sweat...

  • Great!

  • I owned this before I ever saw the movie! Excelent! One those songs you can FEEL!
