  • I started to get into The Cure when my friend's mom gave me a cassette of Wish for an 80's party I was having. After that I listened to all of the albums, and of all of the songs 10:15 is one of my favorites. I was born in 1987, and so was shocked when I saw this video : Robert Smith and Co. were HIPSTERS?!! So funny, considering the big goth cred they get.

  • Man I thought I was heaven when I bought the cassette "Boys don't cry" back in the 80's. This is one of my favorite songs by The Cure. Thanks for posting this!

  • amo esta cancion y amo todo de the cure ohhh yeahhh!

  • I'd kill to get my hands on that guitar, can't think why he later added a 3rd pickup.

  • The Cure is my all time favourite band, and it has been ever since I was a kid. It was here it all started! 10:15 Saturday night.

  • got this version on VHS from 1984,lol happy days!

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa q ese es robert Smith?

  • I would kill for the last 30 seconds riff

  • @MasterOfSw0rds That distorted guitar kill´d my speakers at least three times

  • @MasterOfSw0rds RE mi fa mi fa sol fa mi fa sol la mi fa mi re do y repite, ese el es el riff de los ultimos 30, las notas solas, no los acordes, los acordes son los mismos.

  • I don't know if it's me but listening to a few songs on this album I feel like the author Albert Camus is speaking through Robert Smith (either that or Camus' protagonist in The Stranger)

  • Young Robert Smith > Robert Pattenson any day.

    just sayin.

  • Epic!!!

  • Un viaje en acidos de Robert... de negro o oscuro!!

  • intense ...

  • This has got to be one of the best ever Cure songs. Mental orgasm.

  • How come Dempsey reminds me of Bill Wyman?

  • god hes so gorgeous i can barely breath (robert btw)

  • god hes so gorgeous i can barely breathe

  • What's rob whispering about in 3:03?

  • the song is great but i could whoop his ass at guitar

  • @darrienb24 Yeah but you couldn't necessarily write a song this great which is the main point of being a musician is it not?

  • Geez. A great one ! Thank you

  • 4 people prefer 12:15 saturday nights

  • Always wondered...what does he say @3:03 ?

  • @spykatt I read in some lyrics, that it is "It's always the same". But I may be wrong.

  • @PeSkeleton OK, thanks :)

  • The BEST song of ALL TIME of the 20th Century. Second was the doors. third femmes.

  • One of my favourite songs of the first Cure album. Sounded real Threatening.

  • Whoever doesn't like this can suck it. This song ROCKS!

  • so weired robert without make up on

    hot as always

  • Yeh pre makeup Robert Smith and Lol with a slight jewfro!!!!

  • 10¨15 ΟΝ ΤΗΕ SATERDAY NIGHT

  • This remains my favorite Cure song. There`s just something about it. While they`ve been more successful, they have not topped this IMO. (not emo)

  • 1978

  • one of the greatest song of The Cure! I love it.

  • drip drip drip drip drip ooooh robert is sooo cute

  • Love Robert's Jazzmaster. Be cool if he released a signature model. People forget how a brilliant a player he is, even if he doens't speak much of being an actual player.

  • @DeadWhiteButterflies

That would be cool but he prodominantly played epiphone. I did not take a great look at that guitar but I figured it was a Jag or Stang & thought nothing more. Maybe a jagstang? Nonetheless, Cure didn`t splurge on instruments early and pretty much stuck to what works for them. Robert didn`t play bass.

  • I drove my roommate to an S.T.D. due to this song back in college in 1989.

  • i love this song

  • that's what they used to look like..i saw them live. just wonderful. 'killing an arab' is from that time too

  • its so different than the other songs, this one is so simple...lol idk how to explain, but i like it alot!and why he isnt with the make up and stuff? is there other songs like that have that style that they did?

  • 10;15 on a saturday night.......

and the tap drips under the strip light....

and i,m sitting in the kitchen sink...

    and the tap drip,drip,drip,drip,drip,drip...

    fucking awesome lyrics....

  • The guitar solo is my favourite part, amazing indeed.

  • i love this song, i wish i could have it on my itunes, but i don't know how to buy it on itunes! and i can't beleive they said this was a b-side!

  • it was originally the b-side of killing an arab though

  • Just download it from you Tube on your real player.

    hey presto free song.

  • What about buying a CD?? :D

  • Haha, I just did finally, lol.

  • Congratulations!!! XD

  • All you new boy band brittish groups,YES YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!Stop playing your crap and try and better this.

  • gosh they are so young.

  • OMG!

  • raw and simple. one of my fave Cure songs.

  • The young Robert Smith was so cute!

  • brilliant!

anybody else think razorlight ripped this off with golden touch

  • ha they did actually :P

  • You wouldn't believe it. The very first time, I heard that Razorlight's song, I just knew they used the sample from "10:15 Saturday Night".

  • golden touch?

  • Virus se parece mucho a esto...

  • Oh, Eminem took a sample from this song, didn't he?

  • whaaat!

  • Massive Attack sampled this for "Man next door"

  • avant le maquillage et les grosses baskets délacées avant la dimension planetaire avant de devenir l'un des grands groupes du monde il y avait cette petite merveille .une pepite ,un diamant

  • and the tap drips, drip drip drip drip...

  • LINZ!

  • Robert's sssooo ssexxxxy catacatacata caterpillar boy

  • "Three imaginary boys" is one of the greatest albums in the 80's. They were so young and so talented. Thank you for sharing this one.

  • Thank you friend hitherto75¡¡

  • Yeah Bob wasn't so fat then either.

  • Three Imaginary Boys was released in 1979. So, it can't be classified as an 80s album.

  • @hitherto75 i agree , i love this album !

  • @hitherto75 It's '79. Sowwy. :( Change that to "Boys Don't Cry" then it's the 80's.

  • @ultimatum5 Actualy "Boys Don't Cry" was also 1979 released as a single! The American Release of "Three Imaginary Boys" was also titled "Boys Don't Cry" with the single as the title track. Me mate's got it on vinyl record!

  • @squatters1 There you go, it was released as a single not an album. You said album, but whatever.

  • @ultimatum5 Oh yeh I know but the American release of "Three Imaginary Boys" Album was called "Boys Don't Cry" with different cover art to the British release! I have a friend who has that copy!

  • @hitherto75 Could'nt agree with you more! Except one thing, Three Imaginary Boys wasn't 80's, it was released in 1979 same as this vid, but the track was recored in 1978 as the B-side for "Killing An Arab" but was later put on the album!

  • @squatters1 both of which are underplayed songs and show some of the best creativity...

  • @hitherto75 the album is for 1979

  • @hitherto75 1979 sir

  • @hitherto75 Wasn't the Three Imaginary Boys album released in 1977?

  • algien m podria decir cuanto tiempo tiene esa presentacion

  • El video es de 1979 y la canción forma parte del primer álbum de "The Cure", "Three Imaginary Boys".

Asimismo está incluido como lado B en el primer single(también de 1979), "Killing an Arab" y en la compilación "Staring at The Sea/The Singles". El video está en internet y en "Staring at the Sea/The Videos".

    Saludos desde Argentina

  • Thank you JulianPuyo

    Gracias JulianPuyo

  • ............ok

  • Its so.... darK

  • Dark?

This is Rock, it´s not a quiestion of colors.

And the style of "Three Imaginary Boys" is near to post punk not to "Dark".

  • I remember this video like it was yesterday. Quality music is no longer played on MTV.What the fuck happened. Music now is fucken stupid.

  • Now music is run by huge conservative corporations who just want more of the same because its safe. Boy bands, girl bands, hophop bands. Stuff written by committee, instruments played by session musicians or just by sampled sequencers. Singers whose voices are "adjusted" by electronics. Back then it was 3 lads who sang and played. And a shed load of good old talent.

  • Hey this ones actually synced right....

  • I'm really into the older Cure stuff !! especially this song and Play For Today !! Wicked band !! Thanks for posting !!

  • One of my favorite Cure songs. This earliest stuff is so brilliant! It's all so brilliant! Thanks for posting!
