I saw JB, Bootsy and the JBs perform this back in 1970 live on stage! Get the "Sex Machine" cd and listen to "Bewildered", "I Got The Feelin" & "Give It Up Or Turnit A Loose". They played the songs EXACTLY the same! Man I sure wish that was on film! JB never kept the same arrangement for long, but I am glad I caught that show!
This is tight. It is a renderering obviously based on the " live version" from Live at the Apollo Vol III. Great to see youngsters showing love for The Godfather's tune from 30 + years ago.
they have the potential as musicians but hey they may need just a lil more than green and cornbread... may be a nice big plate of chitterlins.. with those greens and cornbread.. it is called the "innate rhythm"
@sociologyben - The tempo isn't too fast. James Brown humself usually played his funk songs faster in concert than they were in the studio recordings.
first, the bass player vanilla bootzy is carrying the groove, the guitar player needs to eat a plate of colly greens and the band needs to play this shit at their next high school talent night...
I've watched all of your videos and I've gotta say that it is a breath of fresh air to see you guys playing some real music. We gotta keep the funk alive.
what a great guitar sound too

@Buckeyecat2002 - I think it's based on the 'live' version that was really 'live in studio' from the 'Sex Machine' double LP from 1970.

tempo too fast.....need some funk/soul into it too...
Eat a plate of day old Greens-cornbread and that should do the trick
