  • how close are you able to get to reactor 4?

  • @ObviousLedgend I'm pretty bad at estimating distances but I'd say we came within 250 meters of the sarcophagus. Here's a picture of how close we came (satellite view from Google Maps) as it's a lot clearer: i.imgur (dot) com/pPI1w (dot) jpg Hopefully this answers your question.

  • @aapinator thats so awesome! i want to visit pirpyat really bad

  • I'm gonna be honest. I hate Russia, and the Soviet Union. But those people who fought on that horrible day are very much so hero's. I salute those individuals, the only ones I respect out of the communists in the USSR. I hope to one day visit Pryp'yat'.

  • It's not a ghost town if there's so many tourists!

  • @gman2734 Its not a holiday camp, i can tell you that!

  • @ravermicky it actually flew into one of the cables by accident. But I'm sure the exhaustion of dropping countless loads into the extremely radioactive reactor, and the radiation itself had a lot to do with it.

  • While passing the gaurds at the exclusion zone, can you buy antiradiation drugs and/or geiger counters? Or do you have to bring those?

  • @stickfighter254 you'll have to bring a Geiger counter yourself if you really want to know how high the rad levels are, but both the tour guide and government official carry one and will keep track of it. As for anti radiation drugs; you won't need them for a short trip. The main risk you'll take is thyroid cancer, but I believe you can saturate your thyroid with something and it won't absorb the radiation particles. Can't remember what, but they used to put it in bread in the local area.

  • Is there a restiction where like you can only go on in once a year or somthing.

or like you can only go once due to raditation

  • yes some places from call of duty

the footage almost made me cry,i want to visit prypjat one time in my life :O

  • *10 i was fighting there in COD 4 MW multiplayer map :D

  • very nice footage. What an expience of a lifetime. I love the end. made me cry~So hard for me to believe no one talks about this...

  • I have some question: were'nt you afraid of cancer?

have you seen any other ''tourists'' out there?

how long have you been in the nuclair area?

can you just drive in there? because I saw some kind of policemen in part one.

  • @GsanderG nope, I wasn't afraid of cancer or any disease. There were some other tourists in the 'base camp', but I didn't see them in Pripyat itself. There were policemen and military in the town though. I've been in the exclusion zone for about 4 hours I think, of which I spend 2 in Pripyat. You can't just walk or drive in there in there, there are guard posts guarding the entrances and there's people patrolling the town I believe. You'll need to buy a trip basically.

  • @aapinator okay, I really wanna go there once in my live, but I am just 15 so I must wait for a while, how much is it? a trip? and why are they patrolling? I guess you know it's a nuclear area if you are going to visit chernobyl.

  • Very interesting I would like to visit that place one day, good upload

  • @ 00:25 OMG COD4! I LOVE U FOR FOOTAGE OF THAT PLACE! :D

  • Can anybody visit Chernobyl?

  • Make more Videos/Pictures of that ! Well done *5

  • Why are the buildings broken?

  • could you imagine how it was to live in there? the people from there considered this city "the city of the future"

  • you may not see it but @ 2:06 in the door way there is a man who is watching you, then he takes cover

  • @paulproductions2010 if you have seen part one you know they were with for, I guess it's one of them. but is'ts scary anyway man...

  • @paulproductions2010 Wow...nice...you can just see the edge of something on the right side of the doorway for a fraction of a second...weird...

  • @paulproductions2010 I think is one of the other tourists that was with him.

    Or maybe a reflection.

  • 1:48 WTF is the Barrett,Price?

  • Everytime when I see stuff about Pripyat, I can't believe it was an accident.

Sorry for those who dies to save the earth, but for me it looks more an experiment.

There is something going on, but I can't see what...

Conspiracy or not, I don't believe this story...

    Sorry for that

  • on 2:52 is that on the right a bird?

  • @legovogel1 I think it is. I captured two of those birds (assuming they are birds) on separate occasions. It looks like they just fly past me but I didn't see either in real life. You're the first one to comment on it by the way - nice spot!

  • @aapinator dankje , interresante filmpjes

  • @aapinator WOW You have captured a rare phenomena on camera. They are called rods. They're actual flying spirals that can't be seen well with the human eye. People capture them on their cameras all the time. We learned about them in science class. I think you've caught one. Just pause it, it looks nothing like a bird, and is VERY quiet. In fact I couldn't hear anything. No wings flapping nothing. Looks like a rod.

  • that part those whith the camera were in helicopter and someaone talking

  • hey those orange things in the reactor were people???? if they are thats crazy they right in the midle!!!!

  • @StalkerSoldier what part are you referring to? I can't recall putting in a clip of the model they had of right after the accident. Firefighters were pretty much meters away from the burning core.

  • Wow. The end was particularly moving. Well made, I thoroughly enjoyed watching that. I definitely play too many computer games though because I certainly felt like I knew the place ;)

  • @dansvidco it was on a saturday i guess?

  • You do not need a suit unless you plan on rubbing yourself on some of the trees in the forests or plan on breaking into the Sarcophagus covering Reactor Number 4. The radiation levels have gone down so it is like spending a day at the beach in the sun. I would not want to live there or raise kids there though.

  • wow! that place is dead! you should have wore a radiation suit!

  • ghost town

  • very good!!

  • shouldnt u be wearing a suit

  • @swaggerlikewill well hll n when hes in danger as you can here the ticking all the time, thats the mans gydocounter counts how much radiation is in he air the more beeps the higher the radiation and the more danger

  • it did explode, look it up

  • Can you tell me more about the man that stood in front of the reactor? If you do, i'l subscribe. :)

  • lol 4:27 reminds me of Cod 4 : D

  • @dansvidco In 1986. It didn't explode by the way, luckily. It did kill thousands of people though because of the radiation (and still does cause cancer to 4000 people in the surrounding area every year), and people do work in two week shifts, but it never exploded :).

  • Good upload.

  • I'm going on a "around the world" trip in about a couple of years, and i really want to stop by and take a look at this place. Any chance you could give me some information on how to get there ? It would be greatly appreciated

  • @Smennyboy I have sent you a message. :-)

  • amazing footage, I wonder where you got the music. I hardly know anything about the incident could anyone fill me in.

  • @therewillbepain thanks! I would love to help you out with the music, but I honestly can't recall where I got it. Try searching for the artist with Google. I'm sure you will be able to find something!

  • 1:53 there is a face in the clouds

  • all of the green moss on the floor has high doses of radiation... about 12.43 and up on a radiator

  • i would have probably broke down right there just of the sheer sadness that lingers all around

  • great footage you got here, specially due to the HD and organization of everything. Is there any way i can get some info for getting there? it's...a project i have, i'd love to go there sometime.

  • also, can someone please translate what the person said at 6:51 ? thanks to anyone who can help me with it.

  • @riveraluciano I'll send you a private message, and I'll try to help you as much as I can. I can really recommend going there - you won't regret it.

  • thank you very much, i really appreciate this =)

  • awesome!!! nice work!

  • I reckon the water would have held the radiation or some-sort-of-scientific stuff like that so it was drained.

  • looks so sad.. if you imagine how many peoples died there..

  • woah! the swimming pool looks exactly like cod4's one!!!

  • It's the other way around :-). The game is based on the town, lol.

  • yh thats what i meant! ;)

  • Where's your dosimeter?!? I don't hear it!

  • Didnt have one.. It's safe on the common tour paths, but my guide had one though.

  • @aapinator Whew! you had me worried for a second lol

  • silence.......romantic nature.........death.......

Thank you to the heroes, our heart bleeds for the victims

  • Thank you very much!

By far the best Chernobyl-Content on Youtube! very Nice Work

    Thank You

  • Wow that looks amazing great job on the vid i really liked it...If i went there i would have a feeling of finding some deformed mutant waiting to rip me apart

  • sry didnt mean to downthumb you. accident.

  • Haha its np :)

  • could you fill me in on the deal you got to go there because i wanna go to Chernobyl and Pripyat more than anything in the world, from looking at ticket deals online it looked like you didn't get much freedom to explore the city, true? also though i only looked at one website for tickets, it looked like you only go on a tour bus with like 20 people and was quite strict, if you could fill me in on this that would be great, im going as soon as i graduate.

PS great videos and in HD

  • Hey bud. Actually, we did get more freedom than most tours. We payed a bit more, to get an exclusive private tour. When you take a group tour, you have like 20 people around you, giving you a lot less freedom to move. The reason we didn't explore too much, is because there still are very dangerous pockets of radiation. "Lupine Travel" arranged a tour for us. Are you aware of the prices though? It's quite expensive..

Oh, and I went as a graduating present too :-). Best present ever!

  • good job with the vid.

  • Comments like that make it worth the effort it took to make it :). Much appreciated pal!

  • Very nice footage, Chernobyl is still a nice looking city, even if it's a ghost town.

  • Glad you liked it. Make sure you check out my other footage as well! :-)

  • hot
