I grew up in East Texas back in the early 60s. Ray Price's stepmother, Zelma Price, was my teacher for 5th and 6th grade. After hearing many of her stories about her stepson made me a long time fan of his. A few years ago I finally got to meet him after a concert. It will be a memory I will treasure he rest of my life. This song is perhaps my favorite, along with Danny Boy. Thanks for the Good times, Mr. Price, wherever you are.

remain the same. It did seem that the song was rushed. I did not like the way the drummer seemed not to allow Ray to do his best.

Back in the 70s I asked my dad who his favorite singer was ..I was expecting to hear Hank Williams,Jimmy Rodgers,Faron Young..but he told me it was between Ray Price and Slim Whitman.me being 9 or 10 at the time wrinkled up my nose and laughed..as I got older I learned that Dad was right that Price can sing..I could listen to him over and over and it just keeps getting better..Thanks for posting this for all of us to enjoy...
