  • How did they not care for it much? I remember going to the Afterburner tour. They played stuff off the Album, and some classics too.

  • W T F !

  • Wtf is this.......

  • @GOTHICmetalperson156 AFTERBURNER! this album was cut under influence of record companies who wanted more of that "Robotic techno" sound. You'll notice THEY didn't care much for this album cause they don't play it in concert.

  • 10 people are too young to understand a great band....

  • Three WISEMAN ... O.o

  • @TheJoePerry500 afterburner. more pop glitz on that album, but by no means was it overall bad.

  • I feel like crying every time the Eliminator charges the bulldozers. :(

  • @barkercontact omg me, too.

  • I knew the guy who owned the BearFoot monster truck used in the video. He went all the way from the St. Louis area to LA to do the video. Wasn't paid that much.

  • @micflor531313 is he one of the robbers or does he just drive it w/o showing him?

  • Butthead: Whoa, we gotta get us one of those!

Beavis: You mean like a testicular biologist?

Butthead: No, dillhole, a beard. We don't score cuz chicks don't think we're manly enough.

Beavis: Oh yeah. What if we had a fake ID?

Butthead: No way Beavis, a beard is better. It looks cool, you know, like ZZ Top.

Beavis: Oh yeah. Cool. So how do we get one?

Butthead: Uh, it's supposed to grow in I guess.

  • What's with the 6 hour intro?

  • @CnutRexAnglorum the Guitar solo @ 2:10 is well worth the wait

  • ZZ hit #8 in Billboard, 12-14-85. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great weekend!

  • @DaveWollenberg you know it's funny, and no offense, man, i ain't dissing you or anything, i've seen you post these comments on almost every 80's videos, but when it comes to the 90's and recent years, you're nowhere to be found, and you say the same exact thing in every vid. is it because you're only a fan of 80's music? just want to know.

  • @90sandearly00srule3 I stopped listenin' to pop music, startin' in the '90s. Since then, I've been strictly country. It's NOT just for hillbillies anymore! I did start listenin' to pop music in '73, when I was 10. God bless ya, for askin'. Have a great week!

    ok, lets do that then....

  • play it again sugar daddy

  • I am having a real hard time followng video. Still, I know, Geart song. Great video.

  • Ty Reveen designed their stage for that tour and influenced many other great ideas for that tour, Tyrone’s creative influences can be seen on all of their four music videos that were filmed for their Afterburner Tour including their LP cover. ZZ Top's Afterburner Tour was the biggest grossing Tour in the world from 1985, 1986 & 1987, as a result of that success Ty was nominated as one of the Top Three Stage Designers of 1986 and 1987 by Performance Magazines Reader Poll Awards.

  • In 1985 world champion magician Lance Burton introduced Ty Reveen to ZZ Top's guitar player Billy Gibbon's at one of Lance's parties. Following that meeting Ty developed a friendship with Billy and ended up working for ZZ top for most of that year, one of the many ideas Ty conceived for ZZ Top's Afterburner Tour is that their 1933 ford made famous from their Eliminator LP should turn into a rocket ship and take them into outer space.

Gibbons took Al Jougensen out to dinner to thank him for the Samples!

Funny thing is, Ministrys drums were originally sampled from old ZZ Top records so they sampled themselves really ;-)

  • @82sweetheart Dont forget your GIANT 80's BOOMBOX!!!!!..hahahah

  • @5tonyvvvv ~ Hey I didn't have a Boombox!! Guess I'll have to get one of those when I go back! ; )

  • @82sweetheart

Dude, take that it all the way back to 1972. Believe me, the 1970's were a hell of a lot more fun than the 1980's when it came to going to gigs and shit. Then you can just float into the 1980's from there. That's the way to do it. Believe me, if you were able to visit the 1970's you would feel even more ripped off by today's music scene than you do now.

  • @robibm2003 ~ well this "Dudette" ; ) loves the 70's music too ~ so I would head back to the 80's first and do some things differently ~ and then I'd visit the 70's too!!

  • @82sweetheart I missed the experience :'(

  • @xXxM0rbidxXx ~ Well when the time machine is fixed ~ I'll be sure to make an announcement ~ and you can make a reservation ~ I'm sure there will be a waiting list!!

  • @82sweetheart Please take me with you!!!

  • @RetroJenny ~ Sure ~ We're taking a Double Dutch Bus now ~ there are so many of us wanting to go back!! ; )

  • @82sweetheart

Absolutely! people can make fun of the 80's but I don't care. I didn't realize it then but those were some of the best years of my life. Don't forget to take plenty of TV Dinners too heh.

  • @dancar2iniowa ~ They were for me too ~ that's why I wish I could go back!! ; ) Oh yes ~ I'll be sure to stock up on plenty of TV Dinners!! Grab your sleeping bag and c'mon along for the trip back ~ there isn't going to be enough room in the Delorean ~ so we're taking a Double Dutch Bus!! ; )

  • @fl8n so funny :) I thought they said slippin' slappin' sleeping bag, but there were many songs from the 80's that I got way wrong
