@pMcARDENboyz I have never touched a CDJ-400, but i would probably go with the 800. It can be almost argued to be better than 1000 MK3 and it is one of the best CD players i have ever touched. Now pretty much the difference between 400 and 800 is, that 400 has MIDI support and a usb port. I would still recommend CDJ-800, because it supports MP3 discs and timecodes.
no prob. just keep in mind, if your ever going to hook up your decks to traktor, or serato, the functions on your cdj will only be "the midi" featurs that are on that, software.
Excellent video. You make me want to put the money in and buy two (although I'm debating between this and Serato Scratch and trying to still use my old existing vinyl records....).
Pioneer should pay you for this demo. I personally still use 1200's but have entertained the idea of picking up some CDJs. This demo has persuaded me to go ahead and pick up a couple.
Oh jesus, that thing is beautiful. Scratching with that dosent effect the CD right? I dont have the money for DJ equitment so i dont know too much about it. Im a drummer though. I cant wait for more of these videos to see what that thing can do!!! Love IT!!
No, the CD just stored digital information. What essentially happens is that the cd deck makes a copy of the CD, hence the sounds can me accessed instnatly as well as manipulated as if it would be playing from a turntable. The CD is only used once when it is inserted - it is copied and then just lies around in there (depending on how large the memory is it might buffer some more if you skip to another track or whatnot)
another great video! i would love to see pioneer come out with a rotating plater.. u get a way better feel in my opinion.. thats y i chose the denons over pioneer.
Good video! It would be awesome if you could demo a bunch of players. Denon, Numark, etc. all have (more or less) good products out. Also, reviews on Traktor and Behringer BCD 3000 would be a good idea.
J thx for explaining a little bit about the vinyl mode on the pioneer cdj !! Very helpful because I will be getting some in September ^_^ Can't wait to see the new tutorials on this piece of equipment, cya ~Mark

i can't always get that scratch sound out of the 800.. i still think the cdj 1000's are easier to scratch with. anyone?
djbarry1990 3 years ago
well i dont know how is the scratch in the 800 or in the cdj 1000 mk3 but i know that the best way of scratch is in turntables with vynil
1991ad 3 years ago
The platter response is exactly the same between the 1000 and 800. Only difference is the options for platter/jog wheel response on the 1000.

People
think about this..
YOU could order it @ Thomann..
BUT (BIG BUT!) You will only get 1 Year of Warranty, cause Thomann is NOT an official Pioneer Pro Dj Dealer..
olso.. if something breaks (or if the whole unit DIES) you wil have to send it back to thomann (costing loads of money!) and wait a long time..
put a couple more New papers around the block and buy it at a Certified Pioneer dealer! 2 Yr. warranty and lot more fun!
