  • great song. it's mocking each and everyone of us

  • The song just brings out the reality of dirty US politics. Many say that 9/11 was an inside job to get an excuse for attacking Muslim countries which seems to be pretty logical.

  • Yaa I agree too good and well thought out lyrics for a hindi movie.. Wish more producers could come out with good material like this. Anyway Piyush Mishra is incredible I must say.

  • Nice melons.!!!!!

  • Cutting edge lyrics for a Hindi film song

    - dur desh ke tower mein ghus jayao aeroplane ( Like the plane crashing into a tower in a far country) Uncle sam in iraq etc

  • bhaiyon aur beheno, that's mahie gill

  • is the girl Asma Mohammad Rafi?

  • i knw....i she luks like her....

  • she is mahie Gill

  • this gal is the same gal who did the role of PARU in DEV D - definitely punjabi kudi...

  • fullon chudakadd punjaban

  • jaise door des ke tower mein ghus jaaye aeroplane

arent they refering to 9/11 ???

thats kinda insulting for indians livin in america

  • fuk em akll sell outs

  • i dun think dey meant to insult nri's bt dey r mocking on9/11....which is bad.....

  • check the other song "beedu" which is at the start of d movie its also amazing

  • after all the emails, i've posted translation on my profile.

LOL Jaise sarey aam Iraq mein jam gaye uncle sam? Amazing....

  • she is sometime lookin like tabu , sometime like vidhya balan

  • lyrics is just hilarious !!!! amazing

  • There won't be movies on persecution of Hindus and Sikhs or of their great legendary warriors. And I think if the Film industry owes it--TO WHOWEVER!--to glorify Akbar, I think it should at least chronicle the life of true champions, not a mass murderer.

  • Also , could you also include the idea of movies on muslims who worked for liberty and unity of india there have been many for one Abdul kalam , they are also heroes else it just seems politically charged but may be even my argument is. But as you say over-glorifying one part of history and neglecting other is unfair whatever that history is .Point taken.

  • There are always ignored sections of the public when politicians are involved. I don't think Rajput and Sikh history has got its iota of glorification. So the question of over-glorification doesn't arise for them. And the nobility of Akbar seems extremely ridiculous, considering that he was a mass murderer.

  • But now SONIA GANDHI has gotten her iota of glorification. Katrina Jkaif plays her in this Congress propaganda flick.

  • Nicely timed to coincide with the elections.

  • It is nice to see that you have "accepted the point" in this era of political correctness.

  • The problem is that Bollywood is political propaganda.

  • And getting back to the point I made earlier about Akbar. Akbar is glorified because nothing of the Mughals exists. The Rajputs exist and have had a glorious history;hence, they have always been seen as a threat. So Akbar is glorified and facts like his killing of the 30000 civilians is left out of history books.

  • We are left with unverifiable anecdotes about Birbal and Akbar. The truth is Akbar wanted to be king so he got the attention of the Hindus by killing many and then offered to be merciful. If people think that is the mark of a good king then heaven help them.

If the Mughals were so glorified they would become a political threat. But there are none left, so politicians and Bollywood glorify Akbar and Asoka(who was a good king), since they are dead. (CONTD...)

  • I agree man.. bollywood is finally making some awesome movies... anurag kashyap esp is on a roll...

  • duur desh ke tower mein khus jaye aeroplane .. jaise sare--aam iraq mein jaam gaye uncle sam wow bollywood is making the kind of strides i never thought it would

  • Mahi Gill looks like Tabu in this song.

  • yup thats what even its mention in the movie....she keeps tryin to look like tabu

  • lol arey yaar...kya hai...kasyap sala

  • funny lyrics ...

    i liked it :-)

  • The lyrics are to die for! Great job, Piyush Misra!

  • Of course, it is beyond you. :)

  • lol

  • anurag kashyap is a rajput too.. his family took on the kashyap surname during the emergency. This has all the things you are talking about and is complete fiction but a metaphor for india.

  • I was one of the first who was happy when Dev D came out, because he challenged the mindless crap Bollywood idolises. I hated Devdas; I never watched it; the idea of it repulsed me. It is not in may nature to like such films. But Dev D presented a good picture. But my point is why not make a film on the greatness of the Rajputs, so people at least realise what they did instead of harping about a damn fucking "gaon" and its damn " cruel "thakur". The way cinema has always worked is this theme.

  • How about for a change the Jodha-Akbar romantics realise what a Rajput has to say. Akbar was not great; he was a murdering bully; he killed 30,000 civilians after the Rajput women and children had committed ritual suicide. He cut off the heads and displayed them on poles in his empire. How about that. Now tell me that this fact about Akbar is mentioned in your fuck off NCERT and CBSE school books!

  • How about making a movie on that!

  • if it is not mentioned in ncert n cbse books, tat means ur source is not reliable

  • well i have read your arguments and while some of them seem amazingly well thought others are well disappointing and somewhat biased .. but you have a right to your views.Only thing i would say is History is not permanent , while you may be right about Akbar , their might be criticisms about Rajput life as well , this movie could be set in Maharashtra or Tamil or anyplace i think Indians as a people need to learn to criticize themselves be it Rajput, Sikh, Muslim , Dravidian to move forward

  • so lets just enjoy the fact that atleast popular cinema has started political discussion

  • Actually this is a Shakesperean play. It is no political discussion.

  • yaar , i am not disagreeing with you on anything , i am simply saying that we need to be self-critical , all of us and thoda sa artistic liberty dena chahiye then only opinionated movies can come along may be someone will pick up on your ideas and make a movie from that. And by the way if you are talking about Jodha-Akbar it was a ridiculous movie that had no corelation to history.Have patience this is the beginning of somebody thinking about a story its merely the first step .Have patience.

  • Actually, anyone could have made movies on what I said but politics came in the way.

  • I disagree. I think Indians need to stop criticising each other and being exclusively self-critical, since that is what they have been doing for quite some time ,and we have regionalism. I think a good movie would be a documentary like Michael Moore's movies on the increasing regionalism plaguing our country; and how our leaders--AND BOLLYWOOD-- think that national unity can be attained by putting down people, castes, religions.

  • To PorkyParth:

I just said that a movie like Alexander, Troy, Gladiator on Hindu heroes would be a great hit if we were to make such a movie. But political pressures from alarmed governments have prevented the making of movies on Rajput heroes in the past, considering that the Indian governments have little to show compared to what the people expected of them, people look to heroes of the past.

  • Just think of the fantastic propaganda being done by Katrina Kaif starring in a movie on Sonia. We all sympathise with Sonia having tragically lost her husband, but if anyone tells me that a movie about her on the heels of the election is not propaganda, then nothing I say will convince such a person.

  • But I have to remind myself that this is a Shakesperean play. So it is sort of unreal and strange inherently.

  • As a Rajput I was wondering when the industry would come up with something historical about the lives of a Maharana Pratap, Maharana Sanga, Amar Singh and the like. But the sheer hilariousness of Hindi cinema is astounding.

  • alrite Mr Savio Vega,

Lemme enlighten you, I too am a Rajput and that too from Rajasthan. I have done my Engineering from Rajasthan University, Jaipur and trust me when I say that whatever I came across as the premise of Gulaal is so relevant that i have had many sessions of Red Knight Rum while burning Wills Navy Cut , while my fellow "bana's" talked abt how to reign in the whole of this state under monarchy. And trust me .. we dint know anything abt Gulaal till then.

  • To porkyparth:

Unbelievable! And if you ask me we haven't thought that much on it. We don't need to. We are the warrior caste of the Hindus; unlike Sikhs who felt the need for Khalistan, we don't have to do that. As far as winning the country goes we already have done so. This movie is Shakesperean, but it is essentially surreal. It

is a play, not a documentary. So liberties with reality are taken.

  • Just think about it soberly. Political parties are formed for money and power, not such ideas. Political parties everywhere claim to help one people but end up just being siphons of money. Mayawati aligned with Brahmins in the UP election for power. It just goes to show that in the game of power there are no permanent friends or enemies.

  • When I saw the trailer it was like watching the stuff i shoot when I am wid my peeps ..

I just feel good that someone can see Rajasthan for something other then the sand. IT HAS PPL too:) and McDonalds and Barista... and the eternal conflict between the modern and the traditional. Hence sunny bana rides a pulsar but still gives dhok to elders .Its quite an amazing scenario and I always felt wud make a good backdrop. I expect a lot..

  • Actually there never has been a conflict between the Rajputs and modern India. We are descendents of warriors and are proud of our history. We have Rajput battalions in the Indian Army and we have had legendary Rajputs like Hanuth Singh Rathore, Shaitan Singh. We have more than a thousand year history that is always a pleasure to share with fellow Rajputs.

  • Rajputs, Sikhs and Marathas have had good histories; and Mcdonalds(cheap unhealty food) and Barista(overpriced ambience) never really has been a challenge to us. The Pulsar or any other advancement is welcomed by us as any human being would welcome new technology. Actually, I don't understand what your point is.

  • The point is self evident in the comment. THe contradiction in these things makes a very interesting backdrop for cinema which is untapped by Bollywood. I can safely say that theres more hindi movies abt ppl based in the US then ppl from other states like Rajasthan.

  • No ProrkyParth, the contradiction is a Disney land with a castle. The castle in a democracy. It is the peoples fascination with kings, warriors, princesses. Take the story of Rani Lakshmi Bai. It has more emotion and displays the nobility of one woman that a thousand politicians can never match. it is the story of true heroes that fascinates us. But where has the aim of Indian cinema been: not on this heroism that is a fact, but on the proverbial 'thakur'. Why I ask you?

  • That is because true heroism can never be replicated by politicians. Can politicians ever match a Shivaji, Guru Teg Bahadur, or an Amar Singh Rathore. No; so we never have big movies on them. However, the presentation of Akbar in movies astounds me. And when people ask me I tell them that Akbar killed 30,000 innocent man, women and children once Chittor was conquered. I ask them "Don't you know this." And they say they genuinely don't know.

  • I am just telling you .. wen ppl think of rajasthan they think sand and border they dont think that rajasthan has gone ahead wid times too ... somehow this duznt register wid a lot of ppl in india

  • It may be; but I don't believe this portrayal is accurate. I mean seriously! This is more of a story exploring emotional themes. This isn't fact. It is just hilarious. If this wasn't Anurag kashyap, I would have said this is another one of the retarded sick fantasies that Indian cinema churns out.

  • Yes dude I am aware of the history and proud of it. And I love the culture. Its just because a lot of us don't get into academics and we are not cunning in doing business that we suffer socially. Our ego's have been a major let down. I personally don't believe in castism a lot but its amazing how every movie is centered either in Punjab or Mumbai or Delhi.. maybe an odd one or 2 in Himanchal or Uttaranchal and this is out of the 100's that are made.

  • But most Rajputs today function pretty much like any other section of Indian society. They also are victims of false promises, of a battered current world economy. And there are those like Ajay Jadeja, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Chitranjan Ranawat that have found success in the new system.

  • People have freedom to create a lot of movies, and I respect that. And it is true that Rajputs at the time of independence wanted to keep their sovereignty; so did the Nawabs and Nizams, many of whom left the country. Those were different times. This is the twentieth century. If people still think movies like this that are really have anything to do with reality today, it doesn't.

  • beta ramdev subah subah plan karke aaye the kya jagda karoge sab se...sum1 just commented god-level lyrics..where in the fuck's name did u see anurag-idolizing or whatever u call it

  • A valid question by sambitm. Why should he be called an idiot for expressing his thoughts.

  • Quite to the contrary, I admire Anurag Kashyap's work and see him as one few men who with their freethinking will bring about the dawn of a new age in Indian cinema. My only point of contention was that I could not grasp to the context to the song. America bashing in a mujra seemed too outlandish. As much as I am waiting with bated breath to watch this movie, I haven't seen it yet. Hope I discover the method behind this madness come 13th March when the movie hits the theaters.

  • what junk song is this?does Anurag Kashyap expects to create all kind of stuff and still get idolized by his worshipers. why is it that you guys start bashing everybody who gives his/her personal opinion that is even slightly against Anurag. You are killing freethinking and free speech in the name of creative cinema. Anurag is a talented film maker and thats it. Dont make him a god. Please dont make it a issue of vanity.

  • going by ur logic...aren't u doing the same?...

aren't u questioning his freedom of creating his kind of movies?

  • Not questioning his freedom atall. Just reiterating anybodys freedom of giving opinions. What you may like,i might not like. he may create whatever movies he like. Btw i have loved his work so far and wish that his Paanch is also released soon. But please dont expect me to like anything he creates.

  • And why would I be an idiot?

  • god level lyrics...!!!

  • awesome

  • Is it trying too hard to make a political statement? Or maybe it's just that I don't know context to this song. Nevertheless it's definately the first serious politcal song of Bollywood.

  • you are an idiot

  • bloody you are dumb clown
