This is how golfers get screwed, when they listen to this kind of crap. When you show something, do it properly. Afer watching looks like you have no idea what weight shift is and what S and T is
Its not a reverse pivot if you keep the weight left or move a bit more weight left and then turn, coming down.It eliminates the timing needed to get back to the left side properly, which is great if you don't get to play or practice often. Also a turning of the hip first will cause you to come over the top,you need to shift weight first, this pulls the club into the slot and then turn.If U start with your weight on the left foot and move it back in the takeaway then you are doing it wrong.
this is more like a reverse pivot for me. I used to do this, keeping weight forward but ended up scooping the golf ball during downswing. Now i have my weight back, around inside my inside heel, turn hip starts downswing, and remember to transfer weight forward + extending the clubhead toward the target. If i do it your way i have tendency to do scoop and thin shots. Keeping weight at the target while transfer weight back for the upswing is really confusing and easier to hit bad shots
This tip really helped me alot. I was so out of rhythm and out of confidence that I was about ready to cry. I was shifting from back leg to front leg and got all out of sequence which led to terrible iron shots. You are going to get arguments either way, but what this did for me was simplify my golf swing, take away a moving part, so to speak. Stay on the left side and make solid contact. I'm about a 15 handicap and this helped me.
@IKiDPRoDiGYx you think u hit it high because you hit it hard and stay on your left side, no you dont watch the pros position and see how high they realllly hit it
O FUCKNIG REALLY? i wanna see you watch a couple of pro-tracers and tell me how high pros hit there irons because they stay on the right side dick head
why tour players dont do this? becaus ehtey dont want a PUNCH shot... you ball flight is going to be alot lower if u do this people... just imagine ur 3 iron, so keep ur wieght on the right side at set up just dont move it more right or left, keep it simple
@helenathena for a shit player like u yes u will hit a punch shot. but tour players andd good players have power coming down onto the ball compressing the ball making it rise gradually
in a normal turn, given our body structure, we'll place some more pressure in the right side. At the same time, when we turn in the oposite direction, through the finish, we'll place some more pressure in the left side. Avoiding to do that means a concious effort, not something that is natural to how our body is built. that's why in S&T players seem to move their head towards the target in the backsing, they're modifying what is natural in our body as it turns
everytime somebody tries to show why not shifting your pressure point in the backswing is better than the conventional swing, tries to caricature what conventional swings look like. what you did to illustrate is called sway and every single theory of teaching golf indentifies it as a mistake.that's way different from shifting the pressure point through a turn around the spine angle. If you want your address to simplify the way to impact, why don't you directly start in that position?
