@06dirtyblack Nope, I still have it. Its running perfect now. I've taken care of all the problem with it, studs, head gaskets, delete, and new oil cooler. No sense in getting rid of it now. Owe about 10.5K on truck. Just gonna to keep it for now.
how the hell did u get that for 12,500 ive ben looking for a dodge pickup for arround $10,000 but the ones i do find have like 200,000 or more and i would like a pickup with atmost 160,000 mile but i can not find one
It's starts real easy because it's only thirty degrees get a real mans truck like a chevy duramax i have started that thing when it was twelve degrees below zero no problem
@thelockablewalnut17 When I sold this Dodge, I was looking at the Chevy/GMC to replace it. Here in TX the Chevy/GMC diesel trucks are expensive. I ended up buying the 07 Ford Superduty, good truck, but has bad head gaskets. Truck goes in the shop next week to get the head studs/gaskets replaced. Hopefully, I can get another 200k out of this Ford.
That's not a bad regulator,it's designed that way as not to charge when the grid heater are being used when cold. It'll start charging at 25mph when cold.
@civicboy123 not bad, thats pretty decent mileage, but The price like you said is high. Is there alot more power with diesel trucks than opposed to gas?
@235RB Newer diesel trucks tend to have the same amount of Horsepower as a regular gas engine. What gas engines lack is TORQUE. Diesel engines are very torquey and produce alot of torque at very low rpms. My truck is a 610 cummins. 610 refers to max torque output(610 ft lbs torque) at 1600 rpms. This engine produces 325hp at 1600 rpms. Diesels make their power in the low rpm band. A gas engine tends to make all its power above 4000 rpms, just depends on the engine.
@civicboy123 lol my dad bought the 04 4x4 2500 with cummins and the week after he bought it diesel went to be higher than gas lol but he bought it brand new and now it has 307,000 miles still runnin good
@nagasama75 The 6 speed in the Dodge you can't beat! The autos are a different story. The truck is a good truck for what I need it for. Its averages about 20MPG on the highway, which I can't beat. The cummins is a great engine and beats the powerstroke in everyway. The Ford truck chasis is a much better built truck than dodge. If I had my choice of truck it would be a cummins in a F250.
Truck sounds great. If you paid $12,500 for that truck you got a smokin deal. Im lookin to get a 06' with around 100k miles and im finding prices $22-25k. Nice video
The altornator is fine. Tt is cycling the grid heater. I have owned 4 dodges and all of them have done that I asked the dealer and that was the answer i got. U lill notace that when cold it will cycle and the head lights will dim that is normal.
Ibdodgedude is totally correct. Just wanted to second that. I own a 2006 Dodge and it cycles the same way. The Grid Heater is activated to heat the intake air coming in so the combustion is correct. When the air is compressed, the air is heated beyond 400 degrees and when the injector injects fuel, the air is at its flashpoint thus starter the power stroke cycle. Well to assure optimal combustion temperatures, the ECM is programed to activate the grid heater to assure proper air temp.
So did u sell that super duty u had?

How did you get this truck for 12.5K and is it a 4X4? I live in TX to and this would bring 20K easy where I live.

@235RB Thks! The only thing that sucks is the price of Diesel fuel to fill this sucker up. I average abt 20MPG with it and I can't complain.
