to say that this or that language is more or less attractive, is totally pointless. after all some of the worlds best writers wrote their books, be it novels, poetry or works on philosophy, in german. sometimes one must "develope an ear" for the specific sound of a language. seems to me, like it depends on who is saying what - take a us-marine-training-instructor for example - does he sound any less harsh than a nazi-officer? is heinrich heine less lyrical than shakespeare? i guess not!

@quatsch344 Au contraire; French is fluent, gentle, seductive and far easier on the ears whereas German on the other hand just sounds harsh and brutal and to be perfectly honest, Germans just sound constipated when they speak. It’s a very unattractive language.
