  • Thank you very much Mel, information is bliss! You are teaching me how to be a better pilot and that's all I want, very nice tuttorial

  • Hi meloescher, how do you know how much fuel you needed for the flight? or in other words what fuel calculator/calculation did you use? thanks

  • why ws he only flying at 315 knots? i though crisue speed was 487 knots?

  • @miamidolphinfan1234 thats what 0.85 mach is

  • This tutorial has taken away all my ridiculous fears of the fmc's complexity, thank you lol.

  • my aircraft always stays at FL 6000 after starting. what am i doing wrong? vnav and autopilot is enabled, the route is set like in your tutorial

  • @doubleBdasher VNAV won't fly you higher than the altitude you have set on the autopilot panel. so make sure you have set this to the flight level you want to go to, then vnav will make you climb again.

  • i already figured that out, but thanks for your help!

  • @doubleBdasher What did you do to fix it? Mine is having the same problem :S My AP altitude is set to 12000 (same as the cruise alt)

  • how do u align the pmdg 747 i cant get ay panels to work i use instant align time is that a prob or not im good wif a 747 but not aligning rhe pmsg cause i cant get panel to work ive tryed everything so if u can help it would be appreciated thanks

  • @mrpropilot1 u have probably not set the irs pos yet, to do this, put the 3 switches to align and go to FMC it will say to "Set IRS Position" so in the init ref page press gps pos that puts the coordinates in the scratchpad, then press set irs pos. then put switches back to nav, that should work now

  • These are amazing tutorials, very helpful with the FMC, I'm going to try and copy this flight tomorrow.

  • I like the skies with REX!

  • why does vnav disengage itself?

  • how is it that your aircraft flies along the pink line with cross wind at high altitudes and mine keeps drifting off to the left ? im forget to turn on the transponder. is that whats causing it ? i dont use tower either. please i need help. im great at flying the 747 but im just concerned why yours is staying on course with cross wind at 30 kts and mine drifts to the left no matter what the weather is.

  • Not sure. On LNAV, it should follow the magenta line.

  • @meloescher MDA/DH not set, TA not set and VOR selectors are not turned on. Nice vid tho.

  • @meloescher Hey, Many thanks for the tutorialVideo. anyway I heared you where saying that you are wondering what does DRAG REQUIRED means, and it means that you current actual speed is much highier than what is programmed on FMC, so You should Drag the aircraft by raising the nose to reduce you speed. and by the way IRS can do that without any humen intervention. hope that this comment helped you same as you helped me :)

  • @XxNiMr0D7000xX

Try searching for FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool

    It might solve your problem.

  • how do you know all this stuff?

  • Terrific! I just bought this package and I love it. I will never be able to fly it that well but I love the fact that it's complicated and very techinical. Fulfills many fantasys I've had as a kid and adult. Thank you.

  • me too LOL
