  • This dumbass kept falling for the same pie trick over and over XD

  • That is still the best Bogart impression I've heard, so many end up sounding like shit.

  • jshadowhunter; Bugs is comedian Groucho Marx, Elmer is Harpo Marx of the Marx Brothers. Grouch would soon reinvent himself for TV.

  • "If it's rabbit baby wants, rabbit baby gets". Grew up learning about the film stars of the '30's and '40's thru Bugs.

  • realy nice video:-)

  • The Title is "Slick Hare" - - Not Slick Bunny. You're screwing up with the pun in the name. Not cool at all.

  • @resculptit

  • Can't beat the classics

  • daaaaaamn haven't seen this episode since I was maybe 10? classic :)

  • That's the fastest 5 minutes I've ever seen!

  • I like how there just happens to be a mirror next to the stove. X-D Interesting sidenote, notice how the fruits on Carmen Miranda's hair do keep changing colors. :-P Yeah, this brings back memories...

  • The six people who disliked Bugs were the kids whose parents didn't let them watch Looney Tunes, lol.

  • "Eh, I hope you won't mind waiting while I remove these wet things and slip into a dry martini?"

  • the customer is always White!! xD!!! that looked SOOO RACIST!!!

  • lol fudd is so smug when he finds bugs

  • Spot the celebrities (the real ones, not the crappy ones we have nowadays). Those celebs were actually good at something. Bogart, Bacall, Ray Milland, The Marx Brothers, Old Blue eyes, Carmen Miranda, Sidney Greenstreet. Anymore?

  • @MrHarrylime79 there was Marlon Brando.

  • "Pick up Pie"

    "Roger."

  • SUCH. EXCELLENT. QUALITY. O.O

  • I guess Babe willhave to settle for a ham sandwich. lol

  • I grew up watching Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies, and black-and-white films, and I'm 27. So, I understand the humor and remember some of the classic actors like Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, and Paul Dini, among others.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Poor Elmer twied and twied to get Bogie a wabbit, but "Baby" (Lauren Bacall) wanted one, so Bugs obliged! One the of the best Merrie Melodies ever!!!

  • haha Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart are so cute in this!

  • I clicked "Let Youtube Choose".

    I was watching TF2.

    WAT

  • OK, people. These were great and funny. I would like to see them back on air as well. However, they aren't going to come back. For one, these classics have already been played numerous times that networks would only play them as a special for a limited time. Two, they can't make new ones like these as the unique artistic quality simply wouldn't be replicated very well. As unfortunate as it is, the networks most likely aren't going to re-air these. Please stop spamming pleas for their return.

  • @SomeWeirdFreak well they are airing them again on cartoonnetwork from 12 pm to 1 weekdays eastern time

  • @patricknedz And so I eat my words.

  • @SomeWeirdFreak Though it is noteworthy that YouTube petitions (if they can be called such) is less likely the cause than ratings and petitions to the network. Still, I stand corrected.

  • @SomeWeirdFreak Did you not even read the followup comments? I already said I stand corrected. My point was YouTube petitions are far less effective than actually writing/calling the network. That also provides reason for people to stop spamming 'bring Bugs back' comments.

  • @SomeWeirdFreak My comment was replying to the part that said "networks most likely aren't going to re-air these", because looney tunes have been back for quite some time already when you made that comment. And next time, actually reply to the person your talking to. I didn't even know you were talking to me until I actually went back a few pages (where you also replied to yourself instead of the other person you were talking to). That way, people will be able to follow your comments clearly.

  • @classicsguy626 I normally reply to the right person. The first self-reply was a followup on its previous and the recent reply to myself was a mistake. Your comment was still moot by patricknedz from the very beginning though. Anyways, I'm done here.

  • @SomeWeirdFreak Cartoon Network already brought these shorts back in March, and hasn't been taken off the air since like it would have been a couple years ago (when it was taken off only after a month).....So what do you say to that??

  • Agreed . BRING BACK LOONEY TOONES. Today's programs SUCK

  • @cartoonist1975 tye did bring them back to cartoonnetwork at 12 pm eastern

  • @cartoonist1975 Do you live under a rock? The Looney Tunes have been airing regularly on Cartoon Network again for several months now, mainly from noon to 1pm every Monday through Friday.

  • @cartoonist1975 i believe they have. And its been corrupted into another horrible show.

  • Comment removed

  • @cartoonist1975 Unfortunately if they do bring it bk it would be new shitty episode jus like almost everything else

  • @cartoonist1975 they did bring it back but they ended up killing that too

  • @cartoonist1975 the REAL looney tunes! not that looney tunes show out of character crap!

  • @cartoonist1975 actually most of the scenes in Looney Tunes were cut only leaving 3 minutes left, so it was kind of a good thing cause the meterial they cut was funny as heck, (Ex: Rabbit Fire, ABC toke out the part where Daffy looks in Elmar's rifle and Blasts himself in the face, in fact every cartoon like that the same type of thing was taking off)

  • @cartoonist1975 sorry i ment to click the like button but wasnt looking and click the wrong one

  • That IS "Leopold Stokowski" at :54 (he had long hair, so he's wearing a snood here!) And Abbott & Costello at 1:16...Bugs line at 3:49 was originally delivered by ROBERT BENCHLEY in a 1941 movie he appeared in.

  • "Why did you hit me in the face with a coconut custard pie with whipped cream?"

  • @DJMixmasterDee That, an no kids get the references to 1940's and 50's pop culture. This one being an obvious example. And all the great writers, animators, and voice actors are dead.

  • love the fast talk around 3:30

  • Question: can someone remind me who the female icon is in the fruit hat and five-layer 2 piece dress???? LOL :D

  • @sjrswimfan That would be Carmen Miranda

  • @GamingJesters AWESOME!!!!! I thank you for the answer :)

  • @sjrswimfan No problem..gotta share the fruit..I mean love.

  • She looks like she has down syndrome

  • ENGLISH TRANSLATION...what is the name of the song that the spanish chick sings?

  • @JustLookToTheSky

That chick is not Spanish but Brazilian, and she sings in Portuguese.

  • @ 1:34 ;

    oops.

If only this could Happen to every PEDO in the world.......=] <3

  • LOL 2:06 "The customer is always white"! :-D

  • Btw, what a star-studded cast! "Hollywood Steps Out," Part Deux!

  • "Oh dear me, what will I do? Where will I get a rabbit for Mr. Bogart?" Lo and behold, a carrot box presents itself. Calamity ensues :)

  • HEHE IT SAYS SLICK HARE NOT SLICK BUNNY

  • the customer is always white?

  • I think that's Sinatra - the one with the straw

  • Wow, so damn funny how Elmer dressed up as Harpo!!

  • my favorite part is when bugs bunny is dancing to samba music

  • My favorite part is Bugs dancing to some samba music.

  • Warner Brothers coundn't afford to make this cartoon today, the agents alone would have a field day for what passes Hollywood stars these days!!! lol

  • I wonder if the cigarette in Bogart's mouth was intentionally left unlit. XD

  • This was likely a re-creation of "Hollywood Steps Out" which came out earlier in the 1940s. Has almost the same opening and same basic theme with the Hollywood celebs.

  • Yea. I wish kids could see these looney tunes/merrie melody cartoons and decide for themselves if today's cartoons compare in any way to the quality of yesterday's cartoons.

  • What was I kidding? Who hired Humphrey Bogart in this series? X_X

  • Haha, he starts dancing.

  • Ah Looney Toons Make happy : )

  • Seeing Bogey and all of these awesome characatures of the day's celebraties makes this cartoon comedy gold, man!! Without a doubt, this is my favorite cartoon EVER!!!! JUST SPECTACULAR!!!!

  • 3:58 Rush Limbaugh

  • @endingman

    Yeah,that is him for sure.

  • @endingman lol...that was a good one...lol

  • 3:48 What did bugs just said?

  • Great ta have Looney Tunes back on CN, but, they should try ta squeeze in a 4th cartoon in the 1/2 hour, and not run so many dang commercials to fill in the time, Amen? God bless!

  • lmao classic cartoons

  • 'Now, there's a delicious lookin' rabbit!' LOL! God bless ya, again, for postin' it!

  • That's Joan Crawford on the right at 0:47 in the periwinkle gown with Jack Carson (?). The guy at the other table is not Gable.

  • The man with the large nose at the bar I guess would be Jimmy Durante.

  • I love Bugs's Groucho Marx impersonation for some reason. XD

  • awesome episode although i have but one question, why the heck it is the waiter also the chef?! man that place must have money troubles if you ask me

  • Actually, it's called, 'Slick HARE', just to keep ya on yer toes! God bless! Hugs to ya, for postin' it!

  • Yes, they should bring back Looney Tunes. I watched it every sat. Growing up and I turned out ok-- non- violent and everything, which is why they were removed. Now, it's cartoons with characters wearing their pants around their knees and speaking Ebonics!!!!

  • @tnmusicman1 I agree that the maroons at Cartoon Network should bring Looney Tunes back, right, gang?

  • @DaveWollenberg Looney Tunes are BACK on Cartoon Network! Seven days a week at 6AM, weekdays at 12PM!

  • @NinJutsuDude1997 Are they the originals, from the '30s, up through '69? And, is that 6AM, central time? Please let me know both things. God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg Yes, the originals!

  • @DaveWollenberg Great news, my friend, the suits at CN, realized that not everybody has VCRs, or DVD players. Let's pray that this particular time lasts very long, and that CN doesn't drop it after only a short time, back on the air. God bless!

  • Who are all these stars in this episode? I know Humphery Bogart but who is everyone else?

  • @xXxSourxJanexXx

    Frank Sinatra - the guy trying to drink through a straw;

    Gregory Peck - the one with the steak;

    Ray Milland - paying with a typewriter;

    Carmen Miranda - the exotic singer;

    Lauren Bacall - the woman at Bogart's table;

Also Bugs is disguised as Groucho Marx when he tries to run.

  • @r8wing Bugs also runs into Sydney Greenstreet.......

  • @cliffordsville

And Elmer is dressed like Harpo Marx when Bugs is disguised as Groucho. At the beginning (0:48) I suspect there are other 1940's celebrities, and Leopold the conductor may be Leopold Stokowski. Anyway, what a classic!

  • @r8wing Yep! You are right! Good catch.....

  • @cliffordsville

0:47 The guy at the right looks a bit like Clark Gable, and his companion must be Vivien Leigh:)

  • @r8wing That is a pretty good guess! I am stumped though on who the other couple could be?

  • @cliffordsville

Have no idea, he looks familiar though, maybe from gangster movies. When I have an idea I'll let you know:)

  • @r8wing - I think Lauren Bacall is the only celebrity parodied in this cartoon who is still alive! (I didn't see Mickey Rooney)

  • "Your steak sir" what a gentle man, and "Your pie sir" thats when bugs hit elmer in the face with pies ahahaha!

  • Love it., looove it!!

  • Friz Freling = Utter Genius

  • Thanks for posting.

  • LOVE the song from 4:13 to 5:46 ! Sang this my whole childhood LOL

  • @ 6:02 to 6:32,bugs bunny & elmer fudd were likec having a battle of pies in TOONTOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Carmen Miranda kick ass!!!! She's awsome!!!

  • Pick Up Pie!

    Roger!

    You're Pie Sir! (SPLAT!)

  • HE WEARS TWO PAIRS OF GLOVES!!!!
