I have a problem with the virtual instruments...When I program a midi instrument i choose another instrument to change the sound for example, I programa guitar and after then I change the virtual instrument for a organ with the preset Organ vox and it works but when i play the sound again, they change the preset for Galaxy bell :/ why???
Very impressive! I use the virtual instruments to make all of my songs as well, but I don't do live recording like this. I double click the blank track and manually add and tweak all of the notes to make a song. It's time consuming but very worth it.
Every1 who has questions download trialversion and find out for yourself. It's 14 free days i think with full access. Only real question is what keyboard to get, and what song this is? Can't be freestyle, it's too good
You can use virtual instruments from the program itself. Right click on the timeline where one of the "virtual instrument" tracks is, then select "add instrumental clip". On the left side, click on the little piano icon and you can select the instrument you want, then play around with the keyboard thing on the bottom.
Great tutorial. I'm hoping to get a copy of Mixcraft this holiday season but will be buying it afterwards if I don't. I was wondering what model keyboard you are using. Here you said it was an M-Audio Axiom, but in the "Mixcraft 4 Demonstration" you said it costs around $120 - $130, while the cheapest Axiom is $240.
Looking at the keyboard in the video, it doesn't seem to match any of the Axiom screenshots (or any of the other M-Audio keyboard screenshots) on the M-Audio site.

You need to get a MIDI interface and patch a MIDI cord into it from your computer. Look for the M-Audio "Uno", for example.
